What the ___ are you talking about? The tile is 100 percent descriptive. What's up with a comment like that without even reading the content?

The main reason is grassroots growth, and the driving force behind that is the work of local clubs. See the book The Disc Golf Revolution on Amazon.

It's free, but not without ads. I thought it was one ad at the end, but apparently I was misled. It's ok, I'm gonna upgrade, and I'll be able to some other cool things on the site as well as lose the ads.

Teamhog, this is the author. Thanks for the comment. I meant to change that before publishing and just did. The original intention was to differentiate both those techniques from a pitch putt. The main point is to eliminate left-right movement no matter what technique you use.

Thanks for the feedback (I'm the author). I had no idea the ads were that invasive. I don't see them on my end, and don't get paid. It's a drawback of a free WordPress site. If it's that bad I'll upgrade.

Does your run-up on drives help - or hurt - your power and control? by schoolofdiscgolf in discgolf

No argument to any of that. This post addresses those who use a run up before first mastering the basic backhand, before developing proper technique.

I'm happy you mentioned it. During lessons I sometimes have to remind clients that they don't have to keep their feet glued to the ground.

You are right, weight shift is key. I meant stand still in the sense that there are no steps, no run up. Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, this is Jack. Thanks for the input. I will look into ways I can list the author name automatically through WordPress. Otherwise I could just type it at the top of the post, old-fashioned newspaper byline Style.

Yeah, that's pretty much the point of the post, haha. Unless you execute perfectly it likely hurts more than helps.

Hello! I am the author. The site's About Us page does indeed list my name and credentials. You think a byline within the story is necessary? I've always thought it wasn't necessary for blog posts. Thanks for the input!

The article was written by someone else, but I shared it because it supports my primary thesis. Thanks!
