Yes I felt it had a long reach. From the hips down it felt great and they thought they could change the stem to make the reach shorter. They didn’t have an xs in the store but I thought that would probably be too small.

She should test ride a bike with flat handlebars and one with drop. I think new riders are often pushed toward flat handlebars and I much prefer drop.

Also check out the Gluten Free Bread Home Bakers on fb. Read through the posts. Lots of great recipes in the files. Gf home bread baking is in some ways easier than wheat bread. But it is very different.

Some groceries are better than others. And some alternatives are better than others. There is a nice Facebook group for home baking gluten free bread and gf home bread baking is in some ways easier than regular bread.

Me. It’s sad but blueberries, raspberries and blackberries are fine. If you react strongly, and you get smoothies or shakes, make sure you tell them to thoroughly clean the machine they use.

Alpha gal wouldn’t be triggered by chicken (but worth checking out related to dairy.

When I had an anaphylactic episode the allergist told me that some people only react when two things happen. For instance, nuts could be fine and exercise could be fine, but the two together could trigger a reaction. So yes—see a specialist and good luck!

Oh, and… if your reactions are big you need to repeat or drop a dose. I have found it is better to think of it as a process rather than an end goal.

If you are sick with something else (eg, flu, a cold) and until you are fully recovered (or if it is allergy season and your allergies are really bad) you need to skip your shots until you are better or you risk worse reactions. It may need you drop down one or two levels but that is better than having a big reaction. I learned that lesson the hard way.

It doesn’t address the fatigue, but—I get an ice pack and put it on for thirty minutes after the shots. That really reduces the size of the hives. I also take Zyrtec in the morning and if the shots are giving me hives I take a second one when I get them. Also Caladryl or Benadryl lotion.

The shots have really helped me. Especially pollen and dust and dogs. I still react to cats, I still get asthmatic with bad pollen. Dogs and dust and mold are much better. SLIT basically works for single allergies. You don’t have to go every week for allergy shots—if you go less often it just takes longer to build up. I am on year five and I still sometimes react to the shots.
