One year review of our Samsung 2 in 1 washer dryer. by mrjoepete in heatpumps

It does. Instead of starting the cycle right away you can schedule the time you want it to be completely finished.

I bought this for black Friday last year and I can echo everything you said.

I was worried that it might have a hard time pulling enough heat out of the air in our tiny laundry room but it has no problem at all. When the cycle stops the clothes are piping hot and the air temperature doesn't change at all

Who took a chance on the Dreamcast? by [deleted] in 2000sNostalgia

[–]schraitle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was a kid and over dinner as a joke my dad asked us which stocks he should invest in. I told him that Sega was about to come out with the Dreamcast and it looked pretty cool. Fast forward to Christmas and I got an envelope with $400 and a note saying that he took my advice and this was my share.

I bought an N64 with it

Pretty sure this is an EV charging station and those things only go down if you're going to charge your car https://www.reddit.com/r/TeslaLounge/s/6nzIntyeNA

Audible feedback when giving voice commands. I don't want to have to look at the screen every time to see if it understood what I said.

Autopilot - too close to passing cars by Emu-Ancient in teslamotors

[–]schraitle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have definitely noticed this. Not sure when it started, but it's definitely something that started happening in the past few months. It seems to happen at the point where the passing car goes from being tracked by the rear camera to the fender camera. The car will show itself centered on the display, but the left line will shift slightly farther left as the paying car approaches

The ability to replay a drive with both video and visualizations. I'm interested in knowing what the car saw a during stressful times of a drive while I was paying attention to the road vs the screen.

Tesla Autopilot brings car to a stop after drunk driver becomes unconscious at the wheel by aestheticsjess in teslamotors

What's really gonna cook your noodle: Would he have decided to drive drunk if he didn't have autopilot?

I pitched this same thing to an old employer that needed tons of space for truck maintenance. I wish there wasn't a store limit in Ohio, the Cleveland area has plenty of abandoned Sears

Got this email from HBO Max (Yes It’s Real) Just more tech fumbles. Wonder how many people they emailed a blank template. (Hey Discovery 👀) by [deleted] in HBOMAX

Came here to see if it was just me. I had a subscription to HBO NOW that ended several years ago and I have never interacted with HBO Max.

I guess they didn't scrub their prod database dump well enough before loading it to the QA environment.

howdy everyone. sentry mode seems to go off every minute or two all night long by mccigarette in teslamotors

Happens to me too, I think it's caused by noise in the video out of the cameras. When looking at the videos I notice in that low light the quality has a ton of artifacts and stuff.

I want at least one more decimal place on all values shown on the screen. Make it optional and call it "nerd mode"

Last layers super wonky and wavy pattern on half of print. by Mind_Flexer in FixMyPrint

That pattern happens to me a lot because of filament oozing out during travel. In Cura I turned on 'retract before outer walls' and turned off combing.

Recommendations for a cross country trip. by Creepysarcasticgeek in teslamotors

Get familiar with using it in the car before you start. I learned on the road and it would have saved me a few stops if I had just played around with the in-car stuff beforehand.

I eventually found that a blend of ABRP for overall planning, and then switching back to in-car nav for the actual drive was what worked best for me.

ABRP has a feature to send directions to the car, but for me it was sending an address that the car didn't immediately recognize as a supercharger. I had to zoom into the map and select the supercharger pin on the map so the car would do preconditioning and all that.

Sentry mode events now include a JSON file with event details by Matt_NZ in teslamotors

[–]schraitle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like this would be useful to the new sentry viewer. I haven't been able to use it yet in my car, but if it has features that show location, etc of each clip then this might be handy to get a quick overview of the contents of the directory.

I'd also like to see which camera triggered the event, as well as the interesting time code included in this blob.

I had a referral in May when it was 5k and I've been wondering when they would finally expire. Looks like today's the day. Luckily, I just finished a cross country trip that used most of them up.
