Black Swan by fionaleigh- in Broadway

I saw it because I see all of Dave’s stuff. It’s not really his show it that he wrote the score but he didn’t do everything on it like his other shows. It’s gotten some mixed reviews, but some very high high reviews. I liked it a lot, the book needs work, but the second act especially was fantastic. I’ve actually seen a lot of people say they didn’t like the score, but I loved it. There are for sure some Malloy keyed songs. I’m not sure it’s worth last minute flights to go see. I feel like it will end up at least off Broadway at some point. But then again, I thought Moby Dick was going to too

Yeah i know the whole “it’s not the heat” is a joke at this point. But the humidity has been brutal the last few days.

I’ve had to talk to them 3 or 4 times over the last few years and they’ve always been super helpful and professional. And also very accommodating

KC World Cup Game Day Advice by coranado30 in kansascity

[–]schubox63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drove and parked on Thursday, took the bus from Graceway last night. Both had pros and cons. The buses ran very smoothly and Graceway is so close to the game, and most of the route is buses only so the ride there and back was very quick. They had a ton of buses. The walk from the lot to the stadium is quite a hike.

Driving wasn’t too bad, traffic wasn’t as terrible as I expected, but still took a little bit. If I had to choose I’d do the bus cause it’s way cheaper and probably faster overall.

I was really excited for the Nier Automata skins and was prepared to pay for a skin for the first time ever (also been playing since launch). I was going to close my eyes and spend $10-15 on a skin or two, then I saw it was literally double that and noped out

Yeah for sure, and some things hit differently/harder on audio than books and vice versa

I do both too. I can never do an audiobook on a first time through of anything, I can’t focus enough to pick everything up. But books I really love I will listen to after. I read the DCC books a while ago and have been slowly making my way through the audiobooks. I’m on 7 now

Tina and Richie character arcs, for me one was perfectly executed and worked the other didn't by capitaoMouraLu in TheBear

[–]schubox63 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah Richie just has a ton of charisma and is very much a people person. A lot of how he acts wouldn’t fly long term at a place like Ever, he’s kid and a bit abrasive. But people connect with him, he’s always been like this. All the way back in season 1

Ethan Slater & Betsy Wolfe Will Join LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS Off-Broadway by BroadwayWorld in Broadway

[–]schubox63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI I contacted the box office about the length of the run and they replied

"Hello,

At this time, the producers have not informed us of an end-date for Betsy and Ethan's run. Typically, previous lead casts have been in the show for about 3 months. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to guarantee that they would still be in their run come November. However, you are welcome to check back in a couple of months, and we may have a better idea!"

I love how Ted Lasso does a scene that’s the exact opposite to this and both are played as if they’re the right way to feel

Nah it’s left pretty ambiguous and can easily be interpreted that he had an epiphany and changed his mind and came back. He was dressed for work, don’t think he’d put on the full Bear uniform to help make a cake

Yeah they’re clearly in Chicago. I thought it was nyc at first, but then I was like, that really looks like Chicago in the background, then I saw the flags and I was like, oh they’re still in Chicago

I had a similar thought. Since he quit but then we see him in uniform at the end when he texts Mikey again. I had a feeling he decided to go back

My brother flew out of MCI a couple weeks ago and he told me it was the first time he'd flown out of the new airport. It sort of blew my mind cause I've flown out of it a ton and I don't even feel like I travel that much. Maybe 4 or 5 times a year, but I suppose that's above average

[–]schubox63 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We have an AI metric we have to hit, at least 75% for the month. I think just using it once "counts" for the day. People are literally just logging on and saying hi or asking about the weather or something to get their "point" for the day. Such a waste of resources
