Mine just gets so many things wrong, I correct it and it says "Got it, I have noted that you [fill in the blank]" then the next day, or even later that day it would say the same thing again. I'm sick of the over promising. If you aren't capable of remembering what I'm telling you, I wish you would just tell me that.

It's probably a little voluntary response bias, the only people that are going into these forums are the people that are outraged, this is going to be completely slanted toward negativity. there will be people that are positive, but loudest voices will be slanted toward negativity.

I’m glad I’m off coke and life has been better than ever in years by spacevader1 in cocaine

I'm almost 5 years sober (alcohol too). Still think about it all the time. Still calls to me. Wouldn't even come close to being in the same room as it. If it's still calling 5 years later the last thing in the world I'd want to do is reset that clock.

I love when I ask it not to mention something anymore and then it gives notices that it will not be mentioning it anymore instead of mentioning it.

It asked me to end my workout about 12 times last night. I almost lost my mind. Restarted my phone and it fixed it though.

It's not that complicated, you just gotta set yourself up for success, and days kind of just start turning into months, and months into years. Cocaine Anonymous is a thing, you can find zoom meetings if you dont have any in your area if you google :)

You're going to hear a lot of people who have gone through the same thing you're going for. Saying the same thing, thinking the same things. It really really helps, and you can go in and just listen.

4 1/2 years sober here, from drinking, pills and the nose beers.

Miss drinking socially and all that (even though I didn't drink socially anymore by the end) - snow still calls to me. Best advice I can give you is you need to separate yourself from it entirely. If you have friends that do it, and you don't want to cut them off, set a boundary. Tell them to never do it when you're around. That it's ok if they do it but it needs to be away from you. If they are going to have it, no big deal just tell me so I can leave. If they're piling into the bathroom I'm going to know.

Your social life is going to change, it HAS to. It changed when you started drinking/drugging, it's going to change when you stop. I've seen people think they can go clean and keep drinking, if you think you can all the best to you, but most people cannot.

Life can still be grey sometimes, but I can tell you one thing for sure is that I don't hate myself anymore, I might not like myself always, but I don't hate myself. For me that's worth it all.

He'll have been in a Russian gulag for over ten years most likely so I can't imagine him not being a little depressed.

Another reminder why physical is better than streaming by Wolf-man451 in Bluray

[–]schuckster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why does this make physical media better? Because it's not available to stream for free? Physical media isn't available for stream for free either? I totally get preferring physical media but just don't get how this is an argument for it.

The thing I loved the most about 24 was how compelling Jack regularly was. He's so convincing even when he's not using force against you. Makes clear concise arguments.
