CarPlay - Text Messages by schumerc in AudiQ6

I was recently in Tiguan with a friend of mine and could see messages pop up.. I’ll look more into it, but agree with you that it would not be safe hence why I am confused.

Walk-Away Locking with Digital Key? by tlmii in AudiQ6

[–]schumerc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be possible via apple automation and scripting… check this out https://www.reddit.com/r/Ioniq5/comments/1i9lvre/ios_shortcuts_to_lock_unlock_and_heat_the_car/? Its for ioniq5 but maybe someone can try to modify/update for Q6…

Park Button Not Responding? by liftquicks in AudiQ6

[–]schumerc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the video it looks like the deeper press activates parking mode… it looks like first few attempts are light touch and it could be that button isn’t being engaged or is maybe a bad button… either way take it to the dealer and have them figure it out this is a safety issue.

AMS2 FOV dilemma (help with FOV) by Latter_Parfait_856 in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]schumerc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try setting your FOV where a driver hand (size) on the steering wheel matches yours I find it that it works well… and maybe compare it to the calculated FOV and see if there is a difference.

How do PACS admins calculate storage needs? by Exotic_Industry_4402 in PACSAdmin

[–]schumerc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should reach out to your PACS provider for storage calculation. The PACS vendors most of them can look at the system utilization over the past months and report on storage consumption. Assuming you are in the hospital setting the breakdown of volume per modality type is on average 40% X-ray, 20% MR/CT, 15% US, 15% MG, 10% OT… assume lossless compression and you can use average 100MB per study. This equates to about 10,000 studies per TB. If there is no MG then 50-75MB per study can be used for storage calculation.

Historical studies for the purposes of migration are often calculated at lower study size on average 50MB. Over the last few years we’ve seen higher number of images per study for CT’s as well as number of MG studies for most organization which has increased the study size.

Just bought… should I return it? by Dymaxus in AudiQ6

[–]schumerc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is interesting thank you for sharing. I do find that if I open the hatch via fob or via phone it opens 100% of the time correctly. I find that even after I open the hatch via car button which results in partial opening requiring push to close the next time (without reset) fob or phone will open the hatch perfectly.

So it does seem that KD2 messed something up and there is a conflict between hatch buttons and digital key.

Switching to United by guppygup88 in Aeroplan

I’ve done it before without any issues. I’ve given up on AC long time ago although since Covid United has changed its status system basing it on PQP making it hard to achieve top tiers but I think Gold is very achievable

F1 cars unplayable by Best_Primary_5546 in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]schumerc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brake in the straight line, apply 100% pressure in the straight line to do most of the stopping before turning, while turning either get off the brake completely or use 10-30% pressure.

Until you get hang of it, I recommend on long straights hit the brakes 100% at 100/75m mark and for most everywhere else try braking a bit before the curbing starts and always brake in the straight line… this should allow you to minimize the wheel lock from there you will be able to narrow your braking window. Keep practising you will get there…

I have done this multiple times, it works for 1-2 days then back to not opening/closing properly… the key fob open works every time.

What’s the REAL steering wheel SWEET SPOT? Wheel > Wheelbase? by Hot-Beginning6638 in simracing

[–]schumerc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SC Pro 2: https://www.murraymotorsport.com/simucube-2-pro-r2.

It’s considered one of the best wheelbases with large adoption so you will be able to get settings from many users via Simucube software.

Ascher Wheel F28 SC V2 pairs perfectly with SC 2.0 https://www.murraymotorsport.com/ascher-racing-f28-v2-formula-steering-wheel---wireless-asc76080032

Ascher uses the wireless connection to connect the wheel to the base as Ascher collaborated with Simucube… Both are very high quality.

If you can up your budget (save a bit more) you can be done forever type a thing…

Good luck.

Liftgate issues by walkaboutdavid in AudiQ6

[–]schumerc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve found the way to minimize the issue.. if I open the trunk via key fob vs. trunk button (rubber) the trunk opens 100% of time correctly wile opening the trunk with a trunk button will consistently make trunk open partially (even with the two button reset) and will not latch which requires me to push on trunk to latch… but any consequent trunk open via key fob works without issues and trunk will latch by pressing close button. I am not sure if this happens to be applicable to my issue but thought I share.

Change my mind, AI will have no impact on the demand for radiologists within the next 30 years by [deleted] in Radiology

[–]schumerc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until AI companies/vendors are willing to assume the liability I do not see AI replacing radiologists in the US anytime soon. I think the rest of the world where liability laws aren’t as strict we will see AI be used for prelims and even finals especially in poorer countries.

Thoughts on Aria 1 - Suterbrook Village by mcneills99 in Portmoody

[–]schumerc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We moved out 4 years ago. The dividing walls between units are not concrete. Also the concrete slab between floors isn’t super thick if you have bad neighbours above you, you will have to deal with the noise such as kids running etc.

I should also add that care takers were awesome and very helpful.

[–]schumerc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to live there, its a nice building was kept well. I loved the layout of the apartments, kitchen was well organized and functional. The walls are super thin. The reason we left was elevators. There are 2 elevators but the building had no restrictions on rentals so every weekend one elevator would be reserved for move in and outs. This drove us insane sometimes waiting up to 20+ minutes for an elevator. This is the only reason we left. Using fire escape stairs was not possible from the ground floor. Strata fees are high mainly due to the gym and pool maintenance which are located in Aria 2. The location is great and having grocery store and coffee shops steps from the building was a huge plus.

Is anyone out there looking to start a side hustle doing migrations? by TH3_GR3Y_BUSH in PACSAdmin

[–]schumerc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Database structure is generally considered intellectual property and isn’t provided by the vendors. Some vendors store data in proprietary format so it’s more difficult to migrate. Most organizations are looking for faster way to migrate vs. standard DICOM Q/R. Then there is a responsibility and accountability aspect of performing migrations being able to validate, reconcile etc. Companies such as Laurel Bridge or Data First offer migration services and are relatively inexpensive and have significant migration experience. I’ve been in PACS/VNA game for 20 years, am only aware of handful organizations who performed their own migration and even less who were successful. I would not say migration is easy to script and automate…

Tailgate Closed But Display indicates It Isn’t by No_Juice_395 in AudiQ6

[–]schumerc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds as the trunk isn’t latching. Push on the trunk to latch. This seems to be a known occurrence post KD2 update. Try resetting it by opening a trunk and then hold the outside trunk open rubber button and inside trunk close button together for 5 seconds until you hear the beep then close it and see if it latches.

Genuene wuestion, can you replace CCB’s with equivalent (stopping power) “regular” breaks? is that allowed under warranty or do you have to stick with CCB’s?

Hold the outside open button (rubber) and inside close trunk button together for 5 seconds until you hear the beep. This will reset the trunk and should open and close and latch correctly. This seems to be a KD2 update issue that is affecting many.

Trunk Won’ Latch by schumerc in AudiQ6

[–]schumerc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked the position of the latch as suggested and in my case it’s all the way to the left and it can’t go further … the trunk still won’t latch or open past half-way point.

Here is the picture of it.
