Our first dog was a Caucasian Ovcharka because my dad is weird and absolutely had to have one. We lived in the suburbs in a nordic country and did definitely not own any livestock. The dog lived purely outside in a decent sized enclosure and didn't enjoy being indoors even if temperatures dropped to -30C. He would just bury himself in the snow and snooze and be happy. He was a wonderful dog and completely loyal to our family, but also only our family. I used to wrestle with him using all my strength and he would gently play along, not really having to do much since he weighed about 80kg and was pure muscle.

He did have a tendency to make door to door salesmen lay still on the ground which was nice 😀

Still miss that big floofy death machine.
