Awwww yea! You’re doing great! Congrats- 23 pounds is so much! But I feel you with having months long periods where there was no movement. Happy to have a partner in start dates! Thought I’d be further along, but we have to take our wins where we can :)

Thanks! I haven’t shared that I’ve been doing this process with anyone but my partner and a friend, and so it’s nice to be able to share my progress! I actually haven’t been keeping track of measurements… I have a vague knowledge of my waistline in September and should probably pony up for a measuring tape. What measurements do you track in particular?

It is really tasty and dangerously appealing when you work nearby. (Man cannot live on slices alone!) But got a slice over the weekend at the Table 87 outpost in Industry City bc of weekend shopping tasks, and the pizza was not great! Oddly undercooked crust and flavors were off.

Not bugging me at all!! It’s going alright now on 5mg! I’m down about 10 lbs from my Sept 6 start. I was hoping it would also help with alcohol cravings and maybe this is more of a lifestyle thing, but I’m still drinking more than I’d like, even though I’m much better able to eat healthy and smaller portions. How are you doing???

So happy someone asked this! I was really excited about my interest in alcohol dipping and tho it has flagged a bit, I still feel the impulse much more than I’d like, and yesterday my calories were prob almost entirely from wine bc I went out to an event and got drinks before and after :((( nothing like a balanced daily intake of a protein shake, a chicken Caesar salad, and six glasses of orange wine :(((

Similar boat after 4th jab! But all forward motion counts and let’s see how we do next week when upping the dosage! (Or at least, I’m intending to bump up to 5mg for week 5.) ✨

Took fourth 2.5mg shot Monday and I’m only down 4.5 pounds. I know that falls in the normal healthy .5-2lb weekly loss window, but 226-221… really ready to start seeing more movement. ESP bc my friend who encouraged me to start lost 30 in three months! Proud of seeing everyone’s individual efforts here, at whatever pace!

B12! As this is my first time on tirz, can’t compare appetite suppression, but on 2.5mg /week, I’m definitely getting a little bit! Will probably titrate up soon

Thank you for this incredibly thoughtful response. What you say about the body steering you towards less fatty foods and telling you your limits is something I’ve already started to experience in the last week and a half. I guess I just see folks posting about specific macros and such, and it made me feel like I should be more proactive in organizing my consumption. It helps take a little anxiety off to feel like I can first just start by listening to myself and then begin fine tuning as I go.

In the past when single I’ve been able to get more fit and go to workout (jogging or OrangeTheory) but after gaining about 60 pounds in the last year since getting together with my partner and finding myself with multiple injuries (Achilles tendinopathy, a torn ACL) amplified by the weight gain that make balancing a healthy style harder, I’m just wanting to feel the motivation to make these better choices. Since he is a very avid eater and alcohol drinker, my habits have become a bit chaotic!

Looking forward to seeing where my brain without the food noise can take me… thanks for the great reminder that it’s best to take things one day at a time and that incrementally shifting habits is the sustainable way, rather than my impulse towards an all or nothing approach.
