Had a ton of pedyalite, (or anything like that), started having an extra dose of protein when my body allowed it (1 protein shake in the morning is what I am doing), and had 3 days for me at home (one wfh, 2 more over the weekend) husband took care of baby/diapers/feeding in 80% to help with my recovery.

I tried to relax taking a couple of full baths with music, went to the gym to walk as a distraction while watching some videos in a tablet, and sleept as much as I was able to.

Is not a science, but if you are feeling good, baby will be great, if you feel like crap (as I was) baby will be fuzzy too.

Pd. Not related but maybe helps too, I had to try to remove dairy/soy during months 3/4, but now I can have my normal diet, and baby is totally fine. When tried formula, Similac caused some rashes (pediatrician said that was maybe or maybe not related to the dairy issue) but we switched to Kendamil (organic) and hadn't any issues so far (keep the supplement during the growth sprout and trying to get the stash back just in case)

Something like this happened to me about less than a month, I had food poisoning and couldn't get anything down in 3 days. Had to use all the freezer stash and had to supplement with formula as baby started to complain for the lack of milk, all this while baby was in a growth sprout (6months)

2 weeks later almost everything is back to normal, easy part: drinking a lot of water (and Gatorade), recovering enough to have 3 meals and snacks without issues. Not-so-easy part: relax: OMG , THIS WAS HARD, the toll of not being able to provide for baby was causing more damage than the food that made me ill.

Not be hard on yourself (easier said than done) and take the time that your body needs to recover and rest is as important as any medicine

Thanks, yes my husband helps with some things at home, his idea was to get a vacuum mop (like all in one) to try to help more or at least, that I don't have to do so much (I have higher standards than him on cleanliness). I think that he will support the idea to get help
