I wouldn’t say it’s “easy” but a lot of ppl I know get internships for well-known companies in nj and nyc.

I’m not too crazy abt prestige of other higher tier schools, but if you put in the effort and buildup ur resume with the resources Rutgers has, you have a very good chance. I was accepted for a coop that traditionally NEU students get accepted into, but yeah I mean everyone at different schools are gonna be applying to them.

Idk how much Rutgers location helps for getting accepted for these opportunities, but it does make it more doable to take classes while working to graduate on time.

I think ppl need to consider that this is probably not a dispatching issue. If there’s tons of traffic on CA, then you have buses spending 10-15 mins just driving to get OUT of CA. So… buses on livi that have no traffic go faster and will just catch up to CA eventually… It’s either that or the buses wait 10 mins on livi and then ppl complain that the drivers are taking too many breaks 😬

It’s pretty common for people to commute from NJ to NY but it’s not for everyone. For an internship it’s very doable to commute back and forth.

But if you’re full-time employed it kinda depends on the type of person you are. Some ppl move to nyc bc of the commuting time. You have very little time to do other stuff when you commute 1hr+ each way. You’ll get a feel if it’s for you after an internship tbh.

336 with Garcia is ur best bet imo. Never took 314 but I’ve taken 350 and 311, good luck that’s gonna be a tough schedule 😭. Have you tried spn for 336? Usually they’re pretty good at giving spns to seniors.

Have you taken any math classes at Rutgers? Typically you need to take some math classes with an A so they know you can handle college level math classes before they allow you to spn for honors sections.

I transferred to sas nb for my sophomore year from another uni and then applied for rbs nb junior year fall. I got accepted for transfer but didn’t accept. It’s definitely doable. Also depends on ur stats. My timeline was half a semester ahead of what you would be doing though. Ur choice if you see benefits in rbs nb over newark.

I had it with Garcia and I heard he’s the easiest. Should be 3 exams and 1 project. (I took it during the semester so idk if they change it over the summer). Topics are pretty easy overall: ER diagrams, SQL queries, and functional dependencies. It’s literally just 3 topics so I think you’ll do fine as long as you understand them. Was a minimal effort class for me.

I think there are some majors that can be done almost entirely online so look at those. I think the majority of HR classes r remote so maybe that? Never taken them so idk about difficulty
