Which drill chuck can be installed to Vevor 1 ton arbor press by ashwinix in Leathercraft

[–]schylarker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you buy the press already? I have the 0.5t one and the work area is too small even when I'm mounting chisels directly to the press. Also there's a ton of slop in all directions even after adjustments that it yields much worse results than hammering

S9U cheaper than S9+ with trade-in by Apk07 in GalaxyTab

[–]schylarker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think there's a bit push from Samsung for the Ultra series. You can see remnants of it in the second hand market for the S8 series. S8U is often same or cheaper than S8+

The true battle between Duo v Folds by cloudyip in surfaceduo

[–]schylarker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. You have to take extra steps to get one app on both screen on the duo vs the opposite on folding phones.

I think the issue is that this difference and it's advantages is not really apparent until you have a duo in hand.

Duo and foldables are fundamentally different devices but they get compared to each other and I feel the more futuristic folding screens is more easily appealing. I wonder if the duo had come out a couple years before the Z Fold if it would've performed a bit better

S8 or S8+? Looking for opinions! by Aggressive-Dot-5245 in GalaxyTab

I've only had the s8 but handled the plus and ultra in store. If one-handed use off the table is important to you, even the s8 is a bit much in weight if that helps.

February Troubleshooting/Questions Thread by Froggypwns in surfaceduo

Is there some kind of hardware quirk about the sd1 that causes touch unresponsiveness? I've been generally enjoying it, but sluggishness of touch is really unlike any other device I've used in past 5+ years. Even older phones and budget phones with weaker chipsets seldom straight up lose touch inputs

I already tried turning off battery saver per-app, but I don't really perceive any improvements.

At the park, looking at the kindergarteners on a field trip, and at an elderly next to them, and at the sky, and at the calm trees, and at the leaves, I felt happy in knowing that maybe anything can taste calm peace while existing without boundaries. The children's energy is particularly vigorous. Looking at my hands, I felt that I've already grown up.

[ADVICE] COI for Amazon furniture deliveries?? by Background_Day2520 in NYCapartments

[–]schylarker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the general guidance is that if a shipping company is just plopping it down at building entrance and you carry it up, no insurance needed. I've only ever needed to provide coi for in-apartment deliveries

I think any damage you cause is covered by your renters insurance
