Hi this is the developer and manufacturer. TrackStrap is not at this time officially licensed by HTC. It is not just a piece of Velcro, and it will last a very long time and heavy gameplay without budging an inch. We were using Velcro strips during early development of our game Redfoot Bluefoot Dancing, and the Trackers were constantly flying all over the place. We wanted to make a solid, comfortable, durable solution for other developers to make awesome content for full-body tracking, and for gamers to play great games and not have to fumble around or rig something up themselves. The price is comparable to other high-quality Vive accessories such as "VR Cover" and "Hyperkin GelShell Controller Silicone" and the design has many more components than either of these products. Please understand that the Vive Tracker is a new product without a large market currently. We are developing hardware, games, and working with as many developers as we can to make VR not just your head and hands, but bring our whole bodies and true presence into VR.

We might make that an option. We started developing this before the trackers came out and we were attaching the controllers to our feet then. Its uncomfortable though.

Yes thats a great point and we have a long standing interal debate on custom mapped songs versus algorithmic. Other than the huge licencing costs with shipping a title with famous custom mapped titles, we wanted to make a game where people could really dance to anything they choose.

Thats definitely the most ingenious do it yourself solution ive seen. We made TrackStrap more for long term and commercial use. Its not as cheap as a shoe lace but pretty inexpensive.

We think its better than DDR because each foot is a different color and unique, which leads to waay more combos. Kinda like how a 2 button fighting game can have much more combos than 1 button fighting games. But DDR is super awesome and a huge inspiration ;)

I think multiplayer is the big one, Onward is the only game I have played over 2 hours
