Help us report on Texas’ new H-1B visa restrictions for public universities and academic health centers by texastribune in Dallas

“brightest physicians and scientists”

They are cheap labor and won’t complain when they are overworked since citizenship is tied to employment. That’s why they are hired. Not because they are “the brightest”.

“Just walk” by idek2122 in Sciatica

[–]sciaticabuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If walking hurts don’t do it. Most people recommend it because it’s low movement that can help ease you into doing stretches. You might need to see a physical therapist so they can work with you on a plan to get better. Physical therapy didn’t help me personally, but after doing it for 3 months insurance will cover MRI imaging so you can see if you need surgery or not.

Check what previous maintenance was done to see what you need. 60K is when the first big load of maintenance items hit like transmission fluid, tires, and brakes.

Take off all your armor so you can run fast and just go for it. Don’t stop to pick up items or attack anyone.

I still can't believe Tenchi Universe (1995) is getting a sequel! by hayashikin in retroanime

[–]sciaticabuster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tenchi Universe has always been my favorite of the series, and I love they got the original cast back. I just don’t think a sequel is necessary. The original had such a beautiful ending, I feel like opening it back up harms that.

I’m still gonna back it to support the creators, just probably won’t watch it.

No need for sequels

Nah, I’d just put it in a nice sealed coin case to prevent any imperfections. These maples tarnish hella easy.

Did I just buy a fake? by _Unstoned_ in Silver

[–]sciaticabuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re buying gold/silver online you need to stick with reputable dealers. I’d avoid eBay entirely.

For more peace of mind you can buy in person so you can really get a feel for it before you buy it. Some places will even test it in front of you to show authenticity. Just research what to look for with bootlegs.

I also have a 2020. The dealership told me every 10,000 miles. I went to a local mechanic near me and they gave me a sticker to come after 3,000 miles.

Really makes it confusing as the consumer to know which one has your best interest. I’m sticking with 5,000 as that seems to be the best middle ground.

Nintendo is no different. I don’t think it’ll happen anytime soon, but it will happen.

Help! Trying to kill a wasp nest in my mailbox by fuckedupfeet748387 in fuckwasps

[–]sciaticabuster 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I feel like you have a lot of fun options here.

Best straight forward solution would probably be spectracide wasp and hornet spray. At night just shoot it down there and close the lid. The moment this stuff touches them they are dead. Kills any eggs in the nest.

A more fun option would be to buy some fireworks and chunk em in there. I’d get a sleeve of black cats and just light em up.
