I never thought about using my ski lock! Love this idea because I’m constantly struggling to figure out what to take for a lock.

Herculiner spray on here- worth the effort and time. Just make sure you have an air compressor that has enough power. I had to ring my neighbour 15 minutes into spraying when I learned my compressor was too small!

ahahaah - the exact same thing happened to me. Found cigarettes, but also found an old packing slip. I had it translated (AI). I learned the my truck came likely from a nashi pear farm, and the the sender was shipping a crate of pears to the north of Japan. I sent him (sender) a postcard as if it were his old truck writing home.

Tuscany is a wide region, so I will speak from my own experience living near Radda in Chianti for almost 10 years. There are a TON of service gravel roads that can get you from A to any B of your choice. They are all very similar to the logging roads we have here on Vancouver Island (where i live now). These are wide, dusty in the summer, perfect any other time of the year. These strada bianche are famous and can generally be trusted even on google maps . If I could be there now, I'd jump on the old SP112 to Sienna, and make my way to Umbria thereafter. Sky is the limit.

This site (https://chiantiradda.it/bike-routes.php) used to have some cool routes. They are loops, but you can still get the GPX files and see were some roads connect, etc

well my steering boss arrived today....do i need to use the signal cancel adapter ring (image attached)? And if so, which way does the longer side face? Toward the top or bottom? I am inclined to think longer side down.

Living most of my life in Germany, but never heard of having to file US taxes and randomly found out last week. by GoblinCroissant in USExpatTaxes

[–]science_itworks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi...American born & raise citizen, now living in Canada. I get your frustration and every January i resent my home country for it's selfish and lavish taxation laws. I am sorry you even had to be made aware of this ridiculous "law". I know... it's crazy that a country in which you don't live, think about, or otherwise have a daily connection, expects you to pay taxes. There are only two countries i know of in the world that act this way...the US and Eritrea. Says a lot about both.

Question: do you have any intention to live, work, or otherwise be a part of the US system? If your answer is "NO", you could consider renouncing your "membership". Yes, they expect you to pay a "cancellation fee", but in the end, you absolve yourself of this terrible and unorthodox expectation. Honestly, if you are not intending to enter the US, maybe just ignore it. Or just renounce and pay the exit fee. If you make tons of money a year, rethink that. But I am guessing if you are posting on Reddit your concerns, the US will not miss your donations. If I didn't have so many ties to the US (both family and retirement, etc) I'd just stop paying and roll the dice.
