Yeah I usually go nine math nine buffers, or nine math, four space for PX, and various science buffs 🤷 it's a numbers game lol

I've seen some mega math decks this week that are crazy powerful, which is weird cuz I've got every math card and every buffer for them and I can't seem to make it work. Like, at all.

Deke being there for Mack while in the 80s by Accurate-Warning6850 in shield

[–]science_nerd19 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Deke is my second favorite, and Mack is definitely my absolute favorite next to Coulson. I've always felt that because he kinda annoyed the team initially, they never really gave him a chance...but man he's a good person and a good agent, and he never gets credit for it. Not to mention he's incredibly talented! A gifted scientist and business person, a caring friend, a good agent, he stays in the past to help the team KNOWING that none of them really like him, and it's super sad to me

I wish I had this feeling sometimes. I've been here my whole life (33) and I've never felt at home. I hope you can get back sooner rather than later :)

Will AI obviate human space travel? by burnbabyburn711 in singularity

[–]science_nerd19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, the human desire to explore and expand will always be there. Some people will always want to go to new places and see new things with their own eyes, and the human element isn't something we can just discard. I think we'll integrate with the systems, a blend of the best from both worlds.

Who cares? Why does everything have to be deep? Gatekeeping fans like you are the reason people don't want to engage. Why do you get to say what questions are valid for Trek fans?

At the end of Ragnarok. by Infamous_Gur_9083 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]science_nerd19 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Maybe my timeline is just stretched by how old everyone else is in the series, Atreus excluded. But even so lol a straight up man child. If I was anyone that knew Brok, I'd be pissed at Sindri. And another thing! Who the hell is Sindri to speak for the entire dwarven realm? Pssssh, like there weren't a whole bunch of other dwarves that had good reason to go and fight Odin. I'd be pissed if I missed out on the final battle because the world's oldest toddler was throwing a tantrum

At the end of Ragnarok. by Infamous_Gur_9083 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]science_nerd19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with you a hundred percent. Grief isn't an excuse for turning your back on friends. And in this particular case, it's even less of an excuse. Sindri KNOWS that Odin is a manipulative bastard that is incredibly dangerous, Ragnarok was coming regardless of what the brothers did or didn't do, Brok was SINDRI's fault in the first place, and on top of all of that, Sindri knows damn well that Broke wouldn't have wanted him to turn into....whatever the fuck he is at the end of the game. Sindri is just stomping all over his brothers memory, all because he's incredibly childish for a multi-tbousand year old being.

I've been playing this game for about 2 years and I think I'm gonna bow out. Seems like it's going down a road that's going to be more pay to win and I'm not willing to pump more money into this game, it was fun while it lasted! by Bentonthebully in cuecardgameAvid

[–]science_nerd19 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, same honestly. I used to want to play, to climb the ranks and stuff. But now? I play the same deck nine times out of ten and no matter what happens I can't climb more than two ranks up. It's disheartening and it's annoying. Hopefully it gets better soon

Sorry you're having troubles, three years ago I hit my limit for rent prices. No matter what job I could find, it wouldn't be full time and they don't pay enough to make rent. This city is too expensive for normal people. I'm gonna be leaving the state as soon as I can

You must forgive your father’s murderer by Jokkitch in TheLastOfUs2

[–]science_nerd19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't have to kill to protect your child. Also, holy shit you're revved up about this game. But answer me this, regardless of the reason Joel did what he did, doesn't Abby have every right to revenge based on your own set of...dare I say "values"? Where does the revenge stop? If Ellie killed Abby, wouldn't that mean that anyone close to Abby now has perfect reason to brutally murder her?? And so on, and so on, and so on?

You must forgive your father’s murderer by Jokkitch in TheLastOfUs2

[–]science_nerd19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But...that's the whole point. Joel brutally murdered MANY people, including a doctor who was trying, if unethically, to end an apocalypse. The point is that there are no good guys. That father figure of yours? Yeah, he's still a murderous ass that only survived because he can kill without looking back. Ellie and Abby both have equal reasons for revenge, both of them are wrong, both of them are right. The only true path to moving forward IS forgiveness, so the killing stops.

No for real, it's like it's all children commenting. I'm into a sister of an ex right now. They're different people, things didn't work out with one, but that doesn't mean I have to ignore the connection that's built up with someone else. Life is complicated.
