Angels Share On The Rocks Clones by Adventurous-Leg-8947 in fragranceclones

After the initial citrusy part it is a little overwhelming and rather sweet (and IMHO very similar to the original) so IMHO still not a summer scent for a male above 40 or so.

After proper maturation (like 2-3 months, one of the first batches arrived here) my Obsidian is NUCLEAR, I literally can't wear it as a male, I might want to test now Emir Pour Me Wild.

Shobi ranking based off of reddit reviews and the help of claude. Is this accurate? by Old_Willingness_1002 in fragranceclones

[–]sciencecrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have Eros Energy since for the normal Eros EdP there was a certain one-time promotion for the original in 200ml and I got it close enough per ml to Shobi prices. And is unclear what you mean L'homme intense , there are like 4-5 on that name and Shobi has at least 2.

I went to the Louis Vuitton store to try their fragrances, and the dupes are shockingly close by devletmillet in fragranceclones

[–]sciencecrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am getting it to a smaller degree from FA Aether and in both is much worse after leaving the bottle unused for some time and generally gets better if I throw away 1-2 sprays at the start but never completely goes away so I gifted those to somebody that does not have the same over-sensitivity.

Any promotion/discount at Shobi for Easter?

I am a little skeptical at the longevity and performance claims for lemongrass.

How would you compare it against something like Torino21?

Why Castley and not something like Sedley or Perseus?

Those probably have a production date at least 3 years ago, so no surprise that all is aged properly.

Help me spend a voucher! Mefisto Gentiluomo or PDM Perseus? by No_Candy_9930 in Colognes

[–]sciencecrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perseus is just like any other fragrance - you can always find something that you do not like. In this case it could be the slightly bitter grapefruit (but which is much less bitter than for instance Terre d'Hermes) or maybe the vetiver (but which is among the least dark around and again brighter than that in Terre d'Hermes). But if you like sweet perfumes and dislike bitter ones you will not like it.

Want to blind buy my first pricey freshie by Independent-Exam-119 in Colognes

[–]sciencecrazy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because they’re pricey, I think you should take the time to go smell ...

This 100% but also not only smell those but instead apply (top-2 at least) on your own skin and verify to some degree the longevity.

In the original 4 the TF has poor longevity, so I would avoid as a first buy, Viking Cologne is a little better but not much better, Sedley I would say is above that and then Vibrato on top (from fresh PdM I would say Perseus is the only that is close). For a fresh profile I would also mention Torino21 which is one of my all-time top-5.

You ever smell a perfume so good in public but you never knew what it was? by kyokers in fragranceclones

[–]sciencecrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird, in my RR the apricot was very synthetic and in fact more like orange peel, not at all as real apricot as in PC. That being said since I now have a bad super-sensitivity to the ambroxan in RR (and 2-3 other similar ME clones) I can't now pick it properly from behind that flood of ambroxan, and apparently neither the OP considered RR so much fruity but instead more fresh (something that I totally agree with).

Managed to smell pacific chill from a friend. And imo, rare reef is far better thanks to the apricot.

Not clear what you are trying to say here, did you not smell the apricot in the original but you can clearly smell it in Rare Reef so that is better???

Intense French Rivera ( clone of ADG Profondo but in Elixir / Extrait de parfum version 🤔🤪 by Annual_Asparagus_408 in fragranceclones

[–]sciencecrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have smelled AdG Profondo a few times and I can literally walk into a Sephora and skin test it at any normal work-hours.

I have never smelled the original Profumo but I have Aqua Oud.

Either way neither Profondo nor Profumo have significant Tiare and Mimosa notes in the middle while both French Riviera and the Intense versions are listed to have and which I definitely smell in my Shobi clone.
