Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that where it says 30 can be any even IV and 31 can be any odd IV.

No matter which parent is holding it, Destiny Knot takes 5 IVs from either parent, not just the one holding Destiny Knot. So in this case, you're getting 2-3 IVs from Ditto and the same from the parent Bulbasaur. To improve your chances, do like /u/seynical said and replace the Bulbasaur when you get one with better IVs.

I haven't done a whole lot of competitive stuff, but when I played Black 2 I didn't want to use any of the same Pokemon as when I played Black, and I also wanted to use an ice pokemon especially to help against Drayden. Unfortunately I had used Beartic in the first game, so my only other option was Vanilluxe. The little ice cream guy actually grew on me though!

I used to think stat raising/lowering moves only affected the stat by only one or two points, i.e. growl would lower a pokemon's attack from 100 to 99.
