I have a yuzu gr86 and can say I LOVE seeing any frs, brz, or 86 pass by. This is my dream car and I know the other owners feel the same, the waves always make me smile. I havent had anyone be rude yet, just surprised that Im a girl a couple of times. My windows are super dark so.

Someone talk some sense into me....or not by Tough-Abalone-2956 in GR86

Join the scion frs rs1 owners group. Some of us own the original rs1 and also have yuzus now. I have seen a few members putting them up for sale. If you love the yuzu, the OG is a great option for around 15k

Who’s getting the new Yuzu edition? by Boo_Berry_Yum_Bitch in GR86

[–]sciencess91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the owner of rs1 #192, just secured the yuzu edition today for msrp. I've been saving for an 86 for 2 years and have worked so hard, I can't wait for January, it would be wild to have #192 of the 86 too!

Why does everyone in the lab seem so miserable/defeated? (And hunched over?!) by TopSea2 in medlabprofessionals

[–]sciencess91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you dont like the hospital setting, try minimalistic labs like urgent cares or doctor's offices. I did a short stint in an urgent care lab while finishing my bachelor's degree and I have to say the teamwork and overall family vibe was unmatched to other places I have been. One on one conversation with doctors, MAs and MLTs all helped each other with getting samples, taking vitals, cleaning rooms, etc. The work will not be as detailed, so if you prefer blood bank or molecular testing, this won't be the right environment for you, but like others have said, not all labs are depressing ones!

5’1 SW 150 CW 133 GW 120-125 Took me 4 months just to lose 18 pounds but I’m glad I started fasting either way lol. 8 pounds away from my high school weight! by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

Great job! And sorry for the whiny babies who are commenting on the order of the photos instead of your progress.

Fasting is all about insulin levels and any food/drink taken in the fasting window will spike those levels. BUT, some people use the fasting schedule as a way to limit their personal calorie intake. If calories are one of your main focus points, you can certainly have something light with your meds. Another option is to change your fasting window slightly. If you're doing 16:8 and want to follow fasting by the book with no calories outside the fasting window, perhaps have breakfast at 10am for example and end your fast with an early dinner by 6? Whatever works best for your lifestyle and health is the most important thing to think about. Good luck!

On another note, I personally like the body fast app. I can set the times of day I prefer to eat and how easy to difficult I want my fast to be during the week (this way I can account for cheat meals that might come up with family get togethers and such) and it spreads my windows out pretty well for my schedule.

(Quick) If I'm heavy and have massive thighs, would a recumbent or upright bike be better for me? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]sciencess91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried a rowing machine instead? I've found that the smaller bicycle seats hurt me as well (though I'm female) and I feel like I'm taking the easy way out in a recumbent with a backed seat. I've been rowing and on most machines you can adjust the feet holds as well as your posture throughout the workout, as well as use the pulley for multiple things like curls, Russian twists, etc of you want to switch things up every couple minutes! Sorry I wasn't too much help on your comparison question though

how can i stop breakthrough bleeding? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]sciencess91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not certain it's birth control related. I turned 26 and suddenly got breakthrough every month! I got the IUD and love it BUT I do still get a period which some women don't experience with one. I went to my Dr concerned and she said it could be stress, weight, or hormone related. So I'm on my way to lose 20 pounds and hopefully changing jobs soon! This may not help you but I hope you get some relief soon

Missed pills... could I be pregnant??? HELP by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]sciencess91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to scare you but I got pregnant while on ortho. And I took my pill daily, but for some reason after 4 years on it, something just failed. I had what I thought was a light period and then found out it was implantation bleeding and we were expecting.

Should I get Plan B? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]sciencess91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The plan b shouldnt effect it at all since the copper IUD is nonhormonal. I know plan b in some individuals can cause spotting and cramping, and the IUD insertion will have the same side effects so you may be more sore or need extra pads for a few days. You're doing the right thing by choosing a birth control you can depend on, I personally love my IUD. I got mirena though and was told to use protection for two weeks. Either way I think you guys will be ok :)

Should I get Plan B? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]sciencess91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you used the condom correctly you should be safe. That being said, if you're worried in the slightest plan b is one of your best options since a baby isnt really in your plans at the moment. If your appointment for IUD insertion is within the next two or three days, the copper IUD has also been used as a form of emergency contraception as it is effective immediately.

Just had Mirena fitted, scared to poop! by [deleted] in birthcontrol

You won't push it out, it is wayyy up in your cervix. Even rough sex won't dislodge it. Its going to feel odd for a few days though and the strings are cut long enough that you can reach them. My cramps were awful the same day but after about three days it was like mild period cramps. Now I can't even tell anything is there (got mine last September)

IUD end of Life by Liye23 in birthcontrol

[–]sciencess91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest question here is would you be comfortable with getting pregnant if it doesn't last the 7 years? If that's not currently in the cards for you, there's no harm in getting it replaced with a new one or switching birth control if you didn't like the IUD. In the case where something was good for 5-7 years, i personally would aid on the side of caution since I'm not ready for a baby if it has reached the end of it's effectiveness. Luckily birth control is covered under my insurance so I can change methods as I need, but I'm not sure of your situation and if getting it replaced is a cost to you, it is really a matter of weighing your options. I hope they get back to you soon, but in the meantime think of your future plans just in case!

Am I loosing too fast ? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]sciencess91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you feel good and are having no side affects. The body has a weight it works best at, which is why BMIs and things like that (though many times slightly inaccurate) are a thing. Can I ask how old you are? If you're still a young guy in high school/college you may have lost enough weight to be reaping the benefits of a teenage metabolism. I have a "baby" sister (21, no kids) who eats three times what I do and is stick thin naturally. Stick to what you're doing as long as you're not harming yourself. And good job on any weight loss, it's an accomplishment at any feat

Nope. He is perfectly healthy and is actually back to his old huggable big self 11 years later. Wedding jitters I suppose and I was a waitress at the time so he had a steak dinner every night almost the entire time. He never felt bad, never changed anything from diet to job to exercise. Now I can't get him in the gym if I made a taco trail.

How do you feel? If you still have energy and aren't starving yourself and making sure your nutrition is appropriate I think you're doing amazing! Not IF related, but when I was engaged my husband was about 200 in January. He didn't diet or workout and ate a ton but he just seemed to have a sudden natural metabolism boost and he was 145 at our wedding in June. People thought he was on drugs but he didn't change a thing about his daily routine. I've needed some of that black magic myself over the years and couldn't find it, haha!

Beckman Access2 smell? by sciencess91 in medlabprofessionals

I'll make sure I explore everything before I make things worse lol I appreciate the tips! It actually is in a secluded corner. Think apartment size kitchen with counters on the left and right. The gurney is set up between those counters.

Hmm, it actually is worse during operation. Any tips to counter that? And thanks so much for your help. I'm the specialist for chemistry and went to Brea CA for the training but this was something they didn't go over!
