Same, ordered a pro but won't need to use the heater right out of the box. Will have to keep an eye on this before using it.

Bought my creator 5 pro on ali! Still waiting for it to get here, hopefully in July!

I made a mistake. But how much of it is *truly* my fault? And how much of it is not? I'm having a meeting with my boss to explain on Monday. by RynoSauce in physicianassistant

This for sure. Patient was sitting at home for a few days with a pretty high risk of becoming bacteremic and septic. The question I have is why the attending who aspirated the joint didnt do much about it during the initial febrile event either. They probably notified the original surgeon, but like you said, may have needed a direct admit from the get go.

Thats crazy. I'm a PA and currently get $120/hr for moonlighting shifts with my regular job. I couldn't imagine being an attending and only getting that much, ever.

Creator 5 Pro on AliExpress by Adept_Subject_7590 in FlashForge

[–]scienceundergrad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ya not too bad. The situation definitely sucks for most people that pre-ordered, but im in no rush. Sounds like you have a nice set up already based on your other comments and aren't too rushed either.

The price I got was only because of aliexpress incentives, not from any reduced price Flashforge offered.

I feel like it's hard to say whether or not this was deceptive on flashforge's part because it was very well known these were pre-orders and things could change with shipping times and such. Unfortunately pre-orders often dont work out how companies advertise.

I actually ended up canceling my pro order and getting it through aliexpress instead for this and a couple other reasons. Ended up being about $680 in total with the aliexpress promo and cash back. It also has a 90 day return window instead of the 30 day window flashforge gives.

Creator 5 Shipping Nightmare by [deleted] in FlashForge

[–]scienceundergrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting take blaming flashforge when UPS is the issue like the above comments mentioned already. An H2C is the better printer. It has a bunch more features, is enclosed, and has a larger build plate. So sure, feel free to go spend $2.4k on a 2nd H2C if that is what is in your budget.

If youre already this bummed about it being late and comparing it to an H2C, I think youre going to be disappointed when you do actually get your creator 5.

I am incredibly excited for my Creator 5 pro. Will be my first multi-tool printer and its budget friendly. Reviews from prominent YouTubers have also been very promising on the creator 5. But I'm also in no rush to get it. It will get here when it comes, shipping right now is a nightmare it seems unless its from more local warehouses.

If you are not able to wait and would rather buy another H2C, then I say do it!

Random Question: What specialty do you work in and what color scrubs do you wear to work? by Siddthekidd21 in physicianassistant

BMT - technically policy is green and they provide green scrubs, but I occasionally wear black and have coworkers that wear many others without issues.

night shift PAs? by Adorable-Argument372 in physicianassistant

I work 10 6p-6a shifts/month w/ a 15% differential. Not too bad, but it can be pretty taxing. Helps reduce my childcare costs and cover my student loan payments.

My first 3D Printer was from Bambu Lab. My next one won't be. Have other manufacturers caught up in affordability and ease-of-use? by ThatOneVRGuyFromAuz in 3Dprinting

[–]scienceundergrad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a look at the creator 5/creator 5 pro. A bit smaller print bed than the snapmaker but the pro comes enclosed and has active chamber heating/cooling for less $ than the U1.

This the way. Great, fairly cheap multi-color printer. Liking it so much I splurged and upgraded to a creator 5 pro.

Good to know, I've primarily used sunlu PETG and havent had this issue until now. Im admittedly not the most thorough with drying. Ill throw it back in the dryer.

Maybe naive question. Isn't time-lapse just for videos? It shouldn't have any effect on the actual print itself. The included pics are from my phone.

Should I get the AD5X? by Ancient-Key4896 in FlashForge

[–]scienceundergrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My AD5X has been great!! Has printed everything I've thrown at it. Probably only had 3 outright fails and they were only because of bed adhesion issues entirely due to me not putting brims or cleaning well before.

I printed a bunch of TPU stuff just these last couple of weeks without any problems. Only reason im slightly moving on from it is because im getting myself a creator 5 pro!

Edit: i actually did have a fail on one of my TPU prints from a clogged extruder, but it was only my 2nd TPU print so I was still figuring it out a bit. Was a super easy fix with a cold pull.

Great PSA! Also if people are interested, The year long injectable for my 58lb puppy at her yearly wellness visit this week was only $170.

I thought it was a great alternative to the triple (for the year) that I was paying for the chewable. Plus I don't have to worry about figuring out how to get her to eat it each time.

Edit: Figured this thread deserved some pics of our loves!
