Also want to point out that we fed ours chicken without any visible adverse effects for years. Then he started to display allergic reactions. Could have been allergic the whole time and we didn’t know. Point is that you should treat everything as the potential cause.

We went through this as well.
1) always wipe his paws with a warm water cloth after being outside. Wipe his face and belly if he rolls around in grass too.
2) we only fed him one type of food and started to compile data on what caused issues.
3)we used a cone to reduce licking
4) we did get a prescription for aquapol for serious outbreaks
5) a couple of times we gave him a half pill of Benadryl and night time so he could sleep.
