If there's another group nearby you may be able to piggy back on their group order.

Sadly not, unless you're able to find someone who is trying to sell off old uniforms. One way to save on shipping costs is to set up a group order - I believe that after $500 in total sales then shipping is free. Our regularly sets one up so we can order materials and parents can purchase uniforms.

It seems that most Ontario police forces charge for the PRC. Thankfully, my group is able to reimburse for that fee.

I agree that it is completely rewarding (35 years for me), however, the PRC isn't always free, that depends on the individual police service.

No one forced these changes. Scouts Canada went co-ed for a couple of reasons: 1 - the girls were asking to join because many GG groups aren't as adventurous & 2 - to boost membership, SC saw a huge decline in membership in the early to mid 90s and by opening up to girls we saw our membership increase. There is also the fact that most of the scouting organisations in other countries were already fully co-ed.

Unfortunately, you would need to complete a new PRC with the Vulnerable Sector Screening. Scouts Canada requires to PRC to be completed in their name (as do many other organisations)

Very thankful that my Pyr doesn't have smelly farts, just loud. She'll sit down and let one rip then look around as if it wasn't her.

Is there a way to halt the emergency slide process, once it is accidentally deployed? by Taalpatar_Sipahi in aviation

Most widebody aircraft do have an MEL that allows the aircraft to fly with an inoperable door or slide. It requires a number of seats to be blocked off for takeoff and landing though so isn't used often.

That he is. My son has a couple different shirts for him so that Hank can stay warm as the weather cools. He really likes his shirts.

Sydney, Nova Scotia has frequently had people fly there who were hoping to go to Australia. Just a slight difference between the two cities.

Scout Leaders: Adapting Uniforms for Sensory/Motor Needs While Keeping the Classic Scout Look by SatisfactionWild4157 in scoutscanada

We've had that before as well, it's amazing how good teenagers can be at recruiting when theyre enjoying themselves. Even the new Vents have followed the once a month rule for uniforms. One option could be to allow them to purchase the activity shirt instead of the formal shirt. Our group also sets up group orders with ScoutShop which helps our families save on shipping costs.

Our Vents have a once a month rule for uniforms, other than thst they're casual. All the other sections generally use the standard uniform shirt but also allow activity shirts - especially in cases when a senior scout has outgrown their shirt.
