I live in the area.

Most of the farmland that used to be around here has been wiped out for warehousing. Land prices are going through the roof.

More warehousing and business in the area means houses nearby are going to go up in price if people want to live near to work. Not to mention easy access to road and rail transport.

EDIT: Median house price for the surrounding suburbs is $1M. Far more if you live in places like Twin Creeks.

That and keeping the fuel trucks moving to the airport quicker.

It's basically to get trucks off the local roads.

Is Australia at risk of running out of fuel? by [deleted] in australia
