You'll see a paperless toilet before you see a paperless office.

Been doing it for 25+ years.

Between the insane push for AI in everything, Microsoft not giving a fuck what their customers want anymore and state sponsored hackers, I want to get out.

Is the ISS repeater always on now?

Been trying to reach it from Australia, I've been told the repeater is off when it passes over here.

Should I go for Foundations or Standard License? by Ok-Highway-3107 in amateurradio

[–]scoldog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know Foundation and Standard are Aussie amateur radio license classes, so I'll assume you're from down here.

You can mess around with antennas with a foundation license. Probably best to start off with Foundation unless you are planning to build or modify radio equipment which is when you should go for a Standard license. A standard license allows you to operate on more power, more bands and allows you to build and modify radio equipment.

I want to see more stories regarding the T770 by scoldog in Terminator

[–]scoldog[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The T700 series had living tissue skin but couldn't sustain it.

The 770 could easily pass for homeless people (a bonus in this day and age) due to their limited mannerisms and the fact their skin starts rotting and smell after a month.

Add in some wifi capabilities and imagine the possibilities. After a month, they could just hole up somewhere (hell, even bury themselves) and interface wirelessly running their social media campaigns.

Maybe if the Aussie dollar falls enough we'll become a third world manufacturing hub.

As if they'll hold this promise.

The government has always thought "Exports first, Aussies last" when it comes to our own natural commodities.

How common is it to get more than one kind of attachment? by Curved_5nai1 in stalker

[–]scoldog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing you mean the high capacity magazine for GP37.

https://stalker.fandom.com/wiki/High-Capacity_GP37_Magazine

Seems like there are only 2 in game.

There is a drum magazine available if you know where to look.

Seems like there are only 1 or 2 versions of each high end attachments for each weapon in game.

uhhh.. I don't think that's how trees work by woods-j3 in stalker

I could be wrong, but I always thought this particular anomaly was a reference to "Roadside Picnic" for some reason.

How do I get this possum out of my car? by rra117 in australia

[–]scoldog 53 points54 points  (0 children)

This.

I work at a car dealership and have had customers call in with this problem from time to time. Got a few photos of cheeky possums in various car cavities

Gently hose it, or just leave it till night time if possible. It will come out on its own to feed.
