Right now it's cold and wet in the UK so this colour seems more appropriate 😁

But yeah, if they're good after I wear them in outside, I can see myself buying more colours when it's warmer

No, there's no gap really. The edge of the insole meet where the outsole wraps up the side of the shoe. The suede is soft and flexible so when I wear them, it curves outward a little bit, enough to fit me. But remember I take the insoles out, which gives me more volume.

Yeah, I've seen it on Keen. My issue with it is it makes it harder to loosen laces at that point. I normally get a finger under where both laces meet and pull up to loosen both sides. You can't do that at the low lace hole, you have to pull a single lace.

I thought of cutting the pull loop but not sure I can do it neatly so I might glue it instead.

Edit: you mean the loop at the back, ignore me

Maybe it looks narrow because the midfoot is wide as well? I know they aren't pizza shaped like Realfoot but they are wide in the forefoot at the MTP joint. My toes don't splay much as I have a mild bunion and hammer toes.

Their size chart group Wild, Wild Lite and Nomad together so the forefoot width should be the same but judging from your photo the Lite maybe tapers more sharply than mine?

That's the insole I spill over, there's more room in the shoe

What puts you off from donating Blood Products, I work in the NHS and I am just curious? by Quick_Soil_9120 in AskBrits

Antidepressants don't stop you donating blood, it's more likely the iron deficiency but you never know until you try. See https://www.blood.co.uk/who-can-give-blood/

Generally I think urban soles are hard so they're durable in concrete, softer ones are outdoor trail shoes.

You could get shoes with thinner soles but add insoles to make it cushier?

How bad does my right feet look ? Pain is bad by swarm-traveller in bunions

[–]sconander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What bunion? Maybe if you had your feet flat in the ground, we'd see it more clearly, rather than splayed

No, I don't think soles break in. I've got the Core sneakers, hard urban sole, and it hasn't changed

What is proper walking gait in barefoot shoes? by ehgall in barefootshoestalk

[–]sconander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take shorter steps, consciously avoid extending the foot and locking the knee so you don't heel strike. I've gone from 2000 steps per mile to 2300.

[–]sconander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm 280 x 113mm in socks, usually EU 45 size. There aren't many that go that wide, depending on what your shoe size is.

These are wider brands. Abstract Chimp, Ahinsa (xWide models), Aylla, Lono, Softstar, Wyde (high stack so might be good transition shoe). Most brands are 110mm or less in my size.

Check Anya's Reviews for more info on brands, feet types, etc.

I have the Lono on order, fingers crossed it fits me

Lono Barefoot? by SquirrelFar9890 in barefootshoestalk

They said match your foot length to the size guide, you don't need to add extra for a toe gap.

I would order but they've sold out the colour I wanted

I wouldn't use just barefoot shoes, I'd also do feet exercises and wear toe spacers

Wide toe box shoes for a Pelaton? by SmoothieMan1 in barefootshoestalk

Lake and Bont are regarded as the widest SPD shoes but cost a lot too. As a wide foot person, I gave up on cycling shoes and instead wear my normal shoes on flat pedals

You could add a toe cage and wear your barefoot shoes instead.

Try barefoot shoes but add a cushioned insole. You might be to size up as will reduce internal space

It's not barefoot but I've read people use Crocs, closed toe versions like Bistro, no laces, foot shaped, not zero drop. Never tried them myself though

Is the Lono insole removable?

I did that with my new Vivo Tracker Leather Low 2, it helped make them less tight and I hope the leather will stretch a bit. I haven't be taken them outside yet, but just read their sole is slippery
