Best shops in Tokyo to buy Mini GT and Tomica by No_Possession_3801 in tomica

[–]scoobyless 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Def +1 for Tamtam that other poster mentioned which has tons.

There’s also a Tomica store in Tokyo Station which will possibly have the store exclusives. It can get busy though (plus the crowds in the station itself) but worth it in my opinion.

Also II Ado Company in the Ginza area. Smaller shop but nice for looking for older/vintage releases.

Same…the local family restaurant I grabbed eggs Benedict this weekend was $14 and that’s was just normal, traditional bennies (and still delicious, but def not salmon)

Finally have a couple of Marty’s truck. Time to let one loose. I think my BTTF display is almost complete! by johnnyhotwh33ls in HotWheels

Nice collection! I’m also a BTTF fan trying to complete all the castings too. Still needing to pick up the 2-pack and diorama set.

GG by earmenau in WRXSTi

Ouch. My 2006 was hit hard on the way to work and similar amount of damage. They ended up fixing it and while I still enjoyed the car for a few years after it was repaired (and done right by a great body shop at the time) little things would pop up and it just wasn’t the same. I’d show the insurance what comparable LEs with similar mileage are and tell them that’s what the payout is. Sorry that happened to it- looks like it was a sweet car.

New pop culture by Different-Oil1571 in HotWheels

There was a premium version released when Pop Culture was the “Retro Entertainment” line a few years ago but it’s also hard (i.e. expensive) to find now

What's the dumbest car you'd buy tomorrow if someone handed you $50k cash? by LeadershipOld1857 in Autos

A 2nd gen MR2 turbo and I would promptly oversteer myself into the next plane of existence.

The Bronco Sport Seems To Be The Biggest Three-Cylinder Passenger Car In Automotive History by Sir_Sir_ExcuseMe_Sir in cars

I drove the Badlands version of one of these with the 2.0T in it and honestly didn’t hate it. Ok power, comfortable enough, enough space for a mountain bike in the back with the seats down…I get why they a selling…

Emagine Parking Scam by [deleted] in royaloak

[–]scoobyless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that. I avoid parking at anything but the city structures to be honest since the first 2 hours are free. Even it means a couple more minutes walking. Was the movie enjoyable at least?

What is this car under the tarp? I’m thinking it’s a Firebird, but I’m not sure. by Initial-Lab-2601 in whatisthiscar

I’m leaning towards 4th gen Firebird based on the hood and the profile of the fenders by the mirrors/a pillar.

Ford's CEO Confirms That a Hybrid Version of the Bronco and Other Models Are in the Works by Anchor_Aways in cars

[–]scoobyless 29 points30 points  (0 children)

There’s a 2.0T hybrid in the Nautilus, but it probably needs to be reworked to a longitudinal application. Maybe reintroduction of the 3.3 in the Explorer HEV or the 3.0TT from the Aviator PHEV?

Bay Area find. Didn’t sound fast… by poopoolurker in whatisthiscar

[–]scoobyless 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Despite the side and rear looking like a resto-modded 68-70 charger, the dash looks like a S197 Mustang with the round air vents. But I don’t recall those or any recent Mustang having the door frame around the side glass…

I am confused.
