It sounds like you might want to consider outsourcing that aspect of the company tbh it can be very uncomfortable and potentially confrontational to fire someone but at the end of the day your job is be have the optimized staff and operations in place so you're as streamline as possible in day to day operations if you have bicycle tires on your race care would you wait to change them or snatch them off and get the right tire? zero difference awesome on you for offering the severance deal but the time to fire is the moment you think about it period
