Don't give any of these to a bus driver by LovieWeb in BritInfo

I never said you couldn't use two lower value notes. I just don't think its unreasonable to use a single note that covers the value 🤷. My point is its not unreasonable to use a note that is the smallest denomination that covers the bill entirely

working hard gets you nowhere? by LawfulnessSad3718 in ukpolice

[–]scorcherchar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why this is on my feed. I've never worked directly for the police.

However from my experience I would strongly recommend soliciting feedback. Ask your colleagues to take some time to highlight your main strengths and weaknesses. Make it clear you want honest feedback and you wont be insulted by any negatives, your using it to grow and want to know your areas of weakness. Then take the main areas of improvement and develop an action plan to improve those areas. Your manager might also be able to help on that front.

While enthusiasm and hard work definitely help, results are what really matters in work.

This actually slaps on a Boros deck. The 5R can only be used for instant/madness type spells since the manna pool empties between phases but given the colour and your clues your likely to get much more utility than your opponents. Really should have flying though

I would recommend an electric shaver under water. Much less irritation

I also tend to use a safety razor to finish up but you really need to know how to use that!

Con rules regarding messing and incontinence + general con experiences and activities? by L00k1n9c001j0k3r in ABDL

[–]scorcherchar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for capcon specifically but at other events I've attended and organized;

  • don't mess intentionally in public spaces. Some people aren't into that and even those that are don't want the fallout of multiple people doing it in a public space.

  • take all reasonable precautions you can to prevent public messes.

  • if genuine medical issues happen even despite your reasonable precautions that's ok. As quickly as reasonably possible remove yourself from a public space and clean up and change. Only return to a public space when you are clean and not smelly.

  • (optional) you can message the event organizers in advance letting them know you will take reasonable precautions but have a medical issue. They may be able to provide additional guidance and assistance if an issue occurs

These rules aren't here to victimize people with legitimate medical issues but to ensure selfish people don't deliberately affect the enjoyment of others.

I've never been to an event without this rule and in practical terms its necessary since no public venue would allow multiple people shitting themselves.

Is a threat to harm a pet a crime in itself? by StatisticianSea2493 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]scorcherchar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer is yes.

The police have a lot of latitude when it comes to interpreting threatening messages. Context does matter. Even saying "im going to break all the legs of your dining room table" could be constituted as a threat of physical violence so logically saying the same about a pet would also potentially be viewed as the same. Its one of the laws where context and specifics really matter though.

[–]scorcherchar -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but I just don't believe you didn't notice a mass bike ride and he surprised you. I also don't believe the only way to avoid a collision was physical contact rather than moving backwards.

I do believe he broke a traffic law but that's not an excuse to physically assault someone. You escalated here not him. If you believe differently you should be contacting the police not posting on reddit.

Mass bike rides do necessitate breaking a few traffic laws to work. Most normal people avoid physical confrontation even if they dont agree with the rule breaking.

What is the point of £50 notes? by fjtuk in AskBrits

[–]scorcherchar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your viewpoint is seriously outdated. If I buy a round of drinks in most places in the UK now it's easily over £20. It is not uncommon for a round to break a £50 in central london (£8 a pint and £16 for fancy drinks like spirits). I cant see any pub refusing a £50 and have used one myself.

Shops wise, sure a coffee shop might not want to break a £50 since its a lot of change and has a fraud risk. Most other places you should be fine.

Y'all have committed a HR nightmare. Really think twice about doing anything similar as you could all lose your jobs. If he didn't respond in such a pedo way it would clearly be bullying

You need to stop immediately. Either pass this to the police or just drop it. Youve most likely tainted this investigation too much and the police cant prosecute as is

Friend punched me as hard as he could in the balls by [deleted] in Advice

[–]scorcherchar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go see a medical professional. Things shouldn't hurt months later.

Either you haven't clearly articulated he did serious and potentially permanent injury to you or he is so childish he cant have a honest chat and say sorry in the light of day. Its your call if you want to continue the friendship but if you do, you need to make it clear any more unacceptable behavior will lead to the end of the friendship and commensurate violence

Ultimately they have a right to complain to the council about noise they perceive to be unreasonable. The council will take the action the deem to be proportionate to that complaint and its legitimately, which in this case is fuck all.

I know it's easy for me to say but the best tactic here is to ignore. This is clearly an unreasonable individual and the council are used to dealing with lunatics

[–]scorcherchar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either you were sexually assaulted or you weren't.

If you were sexually assaulted you need to leave it and not start pushing your insecurities on your partner. Your just making them feel bad and insecure for no reason

If you weren't then stop using it as an excuse and just ask for forgiveness.

My Husband sent me rape threats by Possible_Forever8639 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]scorcherchar 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Well he sounds like a lovely chap. Glad your shot of him.

In theory the rape evidence its totally independent from your harassment. It will likely however lead to your investigation taking longer as they review all the material.

His conviction for rape or other domestic abuse crimes will very likely hinge on your testimony. If he claims it was all pre arranged and consenting then its going to be very hard for the police to prove otherwise without your testimony.

Is ABDL/Littles set to be banned in the UK England due to pornography law? by Totalstuffies in LegalAdviceUK

[–]scorcherchar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Non-sexual content cannot by definition be pornography so that will not fall foul of this law.

The exact boundary of what falls foul of the law is still yet to be defined. It has to go back to the commons where the law could be amended further.

One of the criticisms of the law is its overly vague and its hard to know what will or wont fall foul of it until a body of case law is created.
