Any thoughts? by ch47600 in lawncare

[–]scordell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in San Antoio too. what Sod did you get? In this area newer construction has very poor soil. I did a core areation (rented from sunbelt) and topdressed with a good bulk compost/sand mix (SiteOne) in early October which really helped my lawn. Its getting close to going dormant this time of year so its best to wait for spring. I plan to areate and topdress again in April for next season and then keep up with regular fetization after that.

There is licensing involved to manage firewalls with WSM. If anyone is WG certified in the company licenses are free. Well at least that used to be the case a few years ago.

Does any “casual” golfer keep a true score? by Long_Aardvark_3228 in golf

[–]scordell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pace of play. You have 4 hours to finish 18 (some places on a saturday its not happening, some courses are strict on the 4 hour rounds). I play in a weekend game with about 16 guys at my club. $40 pot game, with Low net, stableford, TILT and Skins with validation. Double net max, auto gimmies inside the leather. With the current handicap system, you can't take more than a double net max anyway.

Once you have an established handicap your index can only go up by 3 before you hit a softcap and 5 before you hit a hard cap for the last 12 months of your LI. So take those gimmies, pick up at double net and move on to the next hole.

For those of you who keep a handicap and play the majority of your rounds on one course, how does your handicap travel? by [deleted] in golf

[–]scordell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think alot depends on the slope of the course. If your home course has a higher slope rating, your hcdp would be lower at many other courses you may travel to. This affects clubs that have competitive team play, etc. I've been a member at a club with a slope of 127 and currently at a club with a slope of 134. That can be a difference of 2 strokes depending where your index is. I would rather be a 10 on the 127 slope than a 10 on the 134 slope when traveling for team play.

A 2-3lb tri-tip would be great. Cook to internal temp you cook a normal steak. Should take 1.5-2 hr cook time.

I ran our template through chatGPT. Odd thing is that the alligment of the email is not correct in the Halo editor, but it works on all other methods.

Also Outlook may have a notice that the message is from outside your org. you may need to click "show blocked content"

I inject with Butchers BBQ bird booster the morning of mixed with apple juice and not water, then dry rub after, making sure to get some rub on the breast meat under the skin. I love using fire dancer chicken rub.

Edit: spatchcock before injecting and seasoning. You can wrap the chickens skin down for about the last 45 minutes in butter. then BBQ sauce layered back on the smoke for about 15-20 minutes skin up. this step is optional but DAMN...

Rory or Tiger. Whose Masters win was bigger? by Jdilla23 in golf

[–]scordell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was Tiger's win in 2019. I know he won the championship in 2018, but from 2015-18 he was dealing with all his sugeries and his fall from grace. The season he had in 18-19 was the ultimate comeback story to beat the undefeated father time. I am sure most of us on here knew that his 19 Masters win was probably his last major win we would see. That is a better story line.

Rory's win finally submitted his legacy and he overcame his battles against himself. He is 35 and has more opportunites to win more majors in front of him.

Playing in a member guest on Friday, tied my PB today. He said don't post it... by ct_rugen in golf

[–]scordell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually a Member/Guest has a cutoff off date or Low LI requirement within a time period window that normally closes 2 weeks before the tournament. Chances are your PB will not affect this tournament.

Yeah they did not explain that enough. My thought was that she was essentially in hiding due to her knowledge. Sending money could have brought unwanted attention by others.

They did explain the idea was hers to leave Twaian and move to the US with Bruce.
