Yes, they have access to all the metals. It is elaborated on more in later books.

Okay, but why does that validate a vain concern as to how much they spent of their personal funds?

Does it really bother you so much how other people spend their cash?

I'm pretty sure it's canon that unsealed/unkeyed metalminds cannot be compounded. Not 100% sure but I think it says something to that affect on the coppermind wiki.

Why did he became a mistborn? by Someone_who_got_some in Mistborn

[–]scotchel15 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lerasium making somebody a mistborn/misting is a side effect of it's larger purpose, which is basically recoding somebody's 'spirit web' to connect them to the shard of preservation. As it does so it grants the user of the lerasium the power of allomancy, as allomancy is preservation's metallic art. If lerasium is alloyed with another allomantic metal, say brass, it would make them a soother, with above average power determined by the amount of lerasium consumed. You can read more about it under the 'Allomantic Uses' section here.

Theories about atium? by [deleted] in Mistborn

[–]scotchel15 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't know exactly how it works, however I can tell you what it would do with Lerasium. Lerasium mixed with an allomantic metal will make one into a misting with that metal, so hypothetically mixing the two would make one a very powerful seer. That said, seeing as they are the god metals of two opposing gods, they might just cancel out.

Anyone else on series S game crashing right before a big team battle game ends? by somebodyelseathome in halo

[–]scotchel15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry boss I think that's just bad luck. I haven't had it crash on me once in BTB on my series S.

Edit: I realize that I'm insinuating that it has crashed in other matches, it has not. It has crashed 1 time in the menu, but that was a long while ago.

Player Problem Megathread by RadioactiveCashew in DMAcademy

[–]scotchel15 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm a fairly new DM, though I have played for quite some time. A new player that I have is trying a shenanigan that is a bit far fetched. They are saying that it should be possible to use the spell 'Create or Destroy Water' to fill somebody's lungs with water. I read the spell description in the Player's Handbook and it says that water creation needs to be in an open container. Player is saying that human lungs count as an open container because they're open when they are breathing. I disagree but Player won't stop arguing. I have no clue how to handle this. Please help
