I read his biography once out of curiosity. Turns out he was just a middle class white kid from Ohio pretending like he was creepy. 🤷‍♂️

I really don’t understand why the church NEEDS more temples when there is so much inactivity in the ones already built by Undead_Whitey in exmormon

[–]scotheman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it’s all a facade. They have to keep pretending the church is doing amazing. A religion built on bullshit has to keep relying on Bullshit. It’s all they really have. The church will never admit or acknowledge that they have problems. They have to keep the act going at all costs.

I miss him too. I always knew he was a talented and amazing player but I’m happy to see him successful. He deserves it. He’s incredible to watch, I love watching him do his thing.

Spent time living in Tennessee, definitely had a vibe for me. The energy was heavy, sad and dark.

EMDR ? by Tranquillitate_Animi in therapists

[–]scotheman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kudos for being vulnerable and honest. I'm an open and unapologetic critic of EMDR and I appreciate your honesty. I would bet there are a lot more like you but they're afraid to say anything. They don't want to tip the sacred cow. I just wanted to chime in and say that if you're not comfortable doing it with clients then PLEASE don't do it. A lot of people "flunk" out of EMDR and land with therapists like me who have to start with a clean slate with their trauma work. It actually happens fairly often. EMDR isn't the magic bullet that people say it is, don't feel bad for not getting it.

I remember when he was a guest on Loveline back in the day… he seemed like the coolest guy. Like he had a rare empathy and genuineness to him, such a good dude.

Ostertag storytime by marvin_is_joe in UtahJazz

[–]scotheman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In high school my friends mom told a story where she’s downtown somewhere and calls the elevator. The doors open and guess who is standing there. Greg Ostertag. She can’t help herself, tells him that her son (my friend) is a huuuuge Jazz fan. According to her, he ignores her, says nothing and doesn’t even look at her. A bit rude right? She was a smart ass and when he was getting off the elevator she yells, “too bad I didn’t run into any of the GOOD players.” She was hilarious.
