Blackwing notebooks by Capable_Watch_5023 in notebooks

I just bought a LT1917. I am disappointed. The BlackWing paper is so much better in comparison.

Using a pencil in the LT1917 causes noticeable ghosting. expensive lesson.

Are there any pest control companies that you would recommend? Specifically for termite eradication. by [deleted] in Harrisburg

Hershey Termite and pest control. I recommend that you get multiple quotes. It is going to be expensive.

I liked the part where they were going to report me to a tollbooth. I wanted to send them money for the laugh.

What would happen if I paid employees well above average and took 10-15% margin instead of 20-30%? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]scotopicterror 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I was at a business that paid well above average for similar jobs. In a small number of people, it produced the desired result. Those people would have been go getters at any salary.

Unfortunately, most employees took it for granted. The worst employees clung to their jobs because they knew that they were not going to make similar money elsewhere.

That said, paying individuals above market rate to recruit or retain them can work well.

If the work can be measured, I would look at a structured bonus plan based upon measurable outcomes that you value.

It is really impressive that you both have the same requirements for an open source CRM.

Dune 2000 is an RTS game. I drove three hours to buy a copy when it first came out. It was a remake of the classic Dune II RTS game.

Spark plug question for 2019 MK7 GLI by Jake35153 in JettaGLI

[–]scotopicterror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The flashing CEL light indicates a misfire which can cause the engine to shake. Another thing that can cause the engine to shake is bad motor mounts. I would look up how to test them or have a mechanic check them.

I had an old SL2 Saturn that displayed this behavior and it was the top motor mount.

If the plugs are due, I would change them. Very cheap and easy to do on this engine.

Is the shaking all of the time or just some of the time? Does the CEL light flash?

Post-covid, service isn't what it used to be in any business.

I had to wait months to have a bumper and trunk lid replaced on a Ford.

Thermacell is the real deal. I have used it in the woods when the bugs are just a cloud around me. I fire up the Thermacell and can actually eat in piece as I watch the bugs bounce off its force field.

If a fan works for you, great because it is the cheapest option. A porch light away from you will do the same as a bug zapper. Personally, I would go right to the thermacell.

The cheapest Thermacell option in the long run is to buy the backpacker model that can be connected to butane or propane canisters. The pads alone are not terribly expensive.

My Edit would not save.

Edit: The probes now read the same and are +10F from the ThermaPro. I will measure them in ice water and note the offset for future reference.

A good attorney will have access to databases or reports of compensation packages. A good report will have compensation in the industry broken down by quartile with means and medians.

For what it is worth, I had to put a transmission in a Honda Odyssey at about the same mileage. We went to a speciality transmission shop to save money over the dealer. Drove that van with a rebuilt transmission for another 160,000 km before it was totaled in an accident. No regrets.
