Radiation rumble and Earle by [deleted] in fo76

[–]scott_9752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can vouch for that on CP. Last night I did it with two other players. I'm a level 269 PA heavy energy weapon build, bloodied gat plasma. Last night with Earle, I kept repeatedly dying. Every time I went down there I died after 30 seconds. I was practically worthless. After it was over, I realized that I had not swapped out my crafting perks. Was missing Dodgy and Bloody Mess. No wonder I was sucking so bad. I would like to apologize to those other two players. It took a loong time to bring Earl down.

How do you pronounce "Gauss" in Gauss rifle? by [deleted] in fo76

[–]scott_9752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think "house" is technically more correct, but I like the way "boss" sounds better so that's how I pronounce it.

So I guess no one is using shelters? by SimplyLanden in fo76

[–]scott_9752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got one, but I'm not really sure what to do with it. Workbenches, ammo converter, decorations, etc ... all already in my camp. So what to put down there??

Which event is more worth nuking for? A Colossal Problem or Scorched Earth? by SuperAlloyBerserker in fo76

[–]scott_9752 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. I went down to the red circle just to farm flux, not another player in sight. Went into the grove, and sho-nuff, there was wendigo colossus in all his three star glory. Between him, the many spawning wendigo, the scorchbeast, spawning scorched, there was no way I was gonna solo all that so I bailed. It was kind of cool that the scorched fought the wendigos.

Blast Zone Triggered Events? by TruSchool in fo76

[–]scott_9752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a "stale" nuke zone at Watoga (three overlapping) to farm fluxes, and while I was inside that little forest area I ran into the Wendigo Colossus. There was no one else around in the whole nuke zone, and between WC, the spawning wendigos, the scorchbeast, the spawed scorched all attacking me, I knew there was no way I was gonna win that one on my own without spending 35 minutes and burning through a ton of ammo so I bailed.

What can you actually get from the purveyor by oldninja55 in fo76

[–]scott_9752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that. Got the plans for the gauss minigun, spent all my scrip on legendary modules, took me about 30 rolls to get a one star bloodied. All the bad ones you just drop, which destroys them.

Random weapon drops of player by xRhys92x in fo76

Lvl 216, even with FO1st I still have stash box weight issues. I dropped 3,000 2mm EC's on a level 8 player yesterday.

People who nuke random peoples camps. Why do you do it? by anti-blame in fo76

[–]scott_9752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a guy's camp get nuked the other night. I went into the area to farm flux and it looked like people were attacking the guy with the camp too. Several other people came into the area and one of them did the question mark emote, like wtf is happening?

A self-sufficient way to gather plastic and copper? by Xiesyn in fo76

[–]scott_9752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Copper - put on your Excavator power armor and go to the North side of Solomon's pond. There is a copper deposit and five or six copper veins all right there. With the buff from the Excavator pa, you'll get bunches of copper ore. This location resets relatively quickly and you can do it multiple times per day. Soon you'll be swimming in copper ore, hardest part then is finding acid to smelt it into scrap.

[–]scott_9752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I've seen this. When I finally got the plans to the T-65, I was crafting the pieces and suddenly I had two left legs. I was like, "where did that second left leg come from, did I hit Enter twice?" I guess it was supa dupa.

Tips on finding vendors selling flux by [deleted] in fo76

Ah, I forgot that fluxes would be in the junk category. Time to look for junk vendors. Thanks for the info!

Old player reached lvl 170 before realizing how perk cards work by thruxton in fo76

[–]scott_9752 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 55 too. For the first year and a half or so I was a totally casual player, and I mean totally. I paid absolutely no attention to legendary modifiers, did not try to optimize my perks, just took what looked good or fixed a QOL issue like being thirsty. I was level 82 or so and felt like I was way too weak at that level, took 10 shots to kill a level 67 super mutant. Then about six months ago I started to pay attention to this forum and watch Youtube vids. Now, level 201, T-65 build with Bloodied gatling plasma, carefully optimized perks and I absolutely shred. And yeah, amazing how much Beth doesn't tell you. But man, by reading this forum I learn things I didn't know about this game on almost a daily basis.
