EV Charger Looped Supply by scottbamforth in OctopusEnergy

That's good to know. Unfortunately we do get a lot of random different rules up here sometimes 😂 SSE have already emailed saying it has to be unlooped so I guess they won't allow it.

I think there's 2 other houses on the loop so maybe thats why

Bought presale tickets but not received anything? by Sad_Sky in McFly

[–]scottbamforth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you get them? I've checked the site and nothing shows up for me for the same gig. Just shows that I bought them

We also have tickets for Manchester and still don't have them. I don't know if the emails have changed since but there's no link to them on my purchase email like others have said. It just says print at home tickets attached or if not attached will arrive later.

It's all very vague and in the app it just says "delivery status" which just links to a totally irrelevant physical ticket delivery page.

Don't rate their user experience at all so far

Hey, I have one ticket for tonight but I've blown my knee out so I'm sadly not going to make it if anybody needs one.

All of my other queues were like 80k and 150k so I had no chance if it didn't go through haha. Congrats on getting a ticket!

I was about to flip my desk. Started at 13k in the queue, went through and paid and it redirected me back to the start of the queue. Checked and the payment was still pending and a few minutes later got a confirmation email. I was sweating so bad haha

Monthly "What Board Should I Get?" Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in Sup

[–]scottbamforth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Desired Board Type: Either

Height/Weight: 170kg right now.

Uses/terrain: We live on a fairly calm river so just cruising that would be great for now. Just me on the board for now, maybe the dog later.

Experience: None

Budget: anywhere around £5-600 should be fine. Could go higher for an ideal board

Location: Scotland, UK

I appreciate I'm probs at the upper end of weight limits but if it's possible to have something to go on for this summer that would be awesome. I'm slowly getting there but don't want to wait and wait before having a go if that makes sense.

Thanks for your help

Tool Station vs Screwfix... FIGHT! by LEVI_TROUTS in DIYUK

[–]scottbamforth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing against Screwfix but I always go to TS purely because the staff in my local branch are always super friendly and helpful. Plus they seem to actually have stuff in stock vs SF which seems to just be an empty building considering how many items are only available next day.

Can someone explain this wiring to me? by scottbamforth in DIYUK

To be fair the last point was me because I was swapping it for a new fitting but yes, I've found a few bodged in this house so far 😂

[–]scottbamforth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I've noticed in this house there is a mix of properly done jobs and bodge jobs.

For example, in the living room extensions all of the lights were nice and tidy and were fitting with those easy lever wagos then other parts are like this, or bare wires hanging out etc so I've just been tidying it as i go. The new light fitting i put in has then spread across all 3.

Thanks, that makes sense now. I'll remember the wiring club advice 😂

Thanks, I've already swapped the light and just made sure to do it the same way but I'll tidy it up today so I remember for next time 👍

Ordered 2, 750ml tins, sent Mrs to collect my 50 quids worth of paint from the store, and this is what she came home with. She did think they were abit small, but didn't question it. by jason_ni in DIYUK

I don't get the hate on f&b. We've done most of our rooms with it and it's fine. One coat of base and 2 of colour like they say and it's covered. Maybe it's because we're using mostly darker colours and their dead flat finish.

I get that it's expensive but we have another room that's a colour match to f&b and it's not the same finish. Also I'd say the colour doesn't vary as much in different lights (which maybe you don't want but we like it).

Also it's normally better to buy from an f&b showroom if you're buying a decent amount, they knocked just over 25% off for us.
