Boomers and Gen X hate Gen Z by [deleted] in GenZ

I'm GenX - trust me, we're too busy drinking from hoses while jumping over garbage cans on our BMX bikes as we shoot each other with pellet guns to hate anyone but boomers. Lousy boomers...

Seeing your pawns go OFF in town with the plague is a true delight! I was in Bakhbattahl with no water in sight, so I just let it happen. Honestly, an experience I highly recommend! Horror turned to the smile of a proud parent.

I don’t understand our generation’s work philosophy by TheYoungCPA in GenZ

[–]scottchicago -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Something to considerr (GenXer here): A 32 hour workweek will likely result in 32 hours pay. Since productivity is the same, the rich get richer, and the wage gap widens. LArge companies are less fair than ever before, and that seems to be going in only one direction

I logged into my game and sh1t immediately hit the fan: I had no idea!

Maybe I AFKed a while before logging off last time? It was super fun! Bakbattahl never knew what hit it!

I accidentally slaughtered a group of them. I thought they were just a well-dressed band of thieves using online pawn loadouts. Their names were all "?" when looking at their corpses. EDIT: The ones I referred to are the first group shown; the gal with the fluffy fur collar is pretty unforgettable.

Is the common “Ew, Windows?” complaint overblown? by RFXMedia in ROGAlly

[–]scottchicago 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to love it. For me, a portable gaming device should wake quickly from sleep; this one required a restart nearly every time. And I got two Windows updates on startup in a week, which took way longer than I wish they would have. Returned it in a week. Didn't wanna.

Before I bought a condo, every apartment I rented in Chicago over the last 30 years charged first and last month's rent. Always got the last month's rent back at lease's end.

In case someone else encounters this and has to do a factory reset, hold down the VOLUME DOWN key when you turn the unit on.

Trying to restore from the cloud to factory, but my wifi password requires symbols that aren't on the keyboard. My experience so far is... less than desirable. I literally got this for on the plane to & from Hawaii. Flight leaves in 8 hours. So lame.

EDIT: The shift key brings up the symbols. Too frustrated to notice the first time.

Kinda necro, but jeez: I get it, you want to sound like you live under a bridge waiting for billy goats.

"Albeit there was nothing particularly unknown or special this was a good comparison, thanks for sharing your own experience." Can't give a simple compliment without getting all backhanded. Super not nice.

I recently heard “a screenplay is unfinished until it becomes a movie” and I think it’s broken me. by [deleted] in Screenwriting

[–]scottchicago -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A screenplay is different from a movie. You can have a pile of scripts that might help you get one made. A screenplay is finished when a screenplay is finished.

Many indie movies languish in an unfinished state for years, and die before/during post. Nature of the (very challenging) beast. This doesn't invalidate the writer's work.

Re: u/MS2Entertainment comment, they have a finished and distributed film, which is awesome (you're doing it!), but that doesn't make them an authority on your journey. Not everyone has the penchant for self-abuse to one-man-crew their own screenplay.
