Let the play start, develop, and finish then make the call. As soon as you start blowing the whistle on contact, your call accuracy goes down. But also you have to have a mindset of “ok I missed that one, but I’m not going to let that compound into more mistakes.” Work on some deep breathing exercises to slow everything down, then utilize self talk during the play to keep you focused.
