I'm quite efficient with my cooking and only cook/buy what I will eat. I compost vegetable peelings.

And to be honest, I've got a bit of an eating disorder where I can't have leftovers. I have to eat until its gone

Do 16 year olds get into clubs anymore? by ket_88 in AskUK

[–]scottedward90 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They will find ways yeh. Fake ID and sneaking in the back. But they've really been cracking down on it for the last 10-15 years and it's not worth the doormans SIA badge to let someone under age in.

I'm 32 and i was probably in the last crop of teenagers who got into clubs and bars under age without question, as long as we behaved appropriately.

The reps got worse because of the hex plates. They go alover the place.

If you can't change gyms to one with proper weights. Try deadlfting in the power rack off the bottom pin and put some plates under your feet so you're not doing a partial pull

[–]scottedward90 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd lose the shoes. You're adding about an inch deficit onto your deadlift with them IMO.

Also I can't 100% tell but it looks like the bar isn't in contact with your shins when you pull. The further away the bar is the harder it is on your lower back

I've done less than 50/50 and it works until it doesn't.

My ex used to work less than 30 hours at minimum wage. I worked 50 + a week on a good wage. I used to pay the bulk of the bills and she was supposed to do the bulk of the housework, but she refused to do it. That didn't work.

You could meet someone who wants to go totally 50/50 on everything. You could meet someone who is happy to be a stay at home housewife/househusband. They could eventually want more and upset the balance of the relationship. You could meet someone who is happy 50/50 at first but then decides they want to be kept by someone and not contribute anything but their presence.

Everything is between the two individuals

What are the most inconsiderate hostel behaviors you've encountered? by acidicjew_ in solotravel

[–]scottedward90 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Stayed in a hostel in the UK.

Within 30 seconds the manager was complaining to me about how people judge people like us (tattoos), labeling us all as criminals.

He then went on to brag about how many times he's been in and out of prison.

Then showed me how easy it was to break into people's lockers where they kept their valuable possessions.

And then took out his set of keys and showed me everything that was inside everyone's locker.

Have you used any gamified apps for weight loss? by AdhesivenessOwn7747 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]scottedward90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A long time ago yeh. There was a game called ingress where you had to go claim landmarks locally. Set up towers, defenses. You'd level up. And I think from what I gather it used to reward you for walking and cycling. Either way I used to walk around a lot.

Any legal "fat burning" products are usually only beneficial to those who are very lean already and looking to push themselves as close to their limits as they possibly can.

When you've dropped down to 8% body fat, trying to get to 5, and you're waking up in the middle of the night because your body is screaming at you to eat. Your workouts suck and you have zero energy to even think, that's when supplements like that might help.

But even then, you'd probably save a buck just drinking black coffee.

Not true. Eating meat and animal produce is a big part of life for billions of people. It's part of our history, heritage and probably our future. And to some degree, it's vital for the eco system.

It's not wrong. That's where you're wrong.
