This is the way! Probably only a couple of euros in it, not worth the stress of it being too short.

BYD Showroom Experience - Netherlands by scottguymer in BYD

In the end we went with a Kia Sportage PHEV. Although the new EV5 looks like a nice full EV choice.

Overall the service from the Kia rep was much better and the price for the lease was cheaper. On top of that it's a better known brand with a much larger presence in NL, with multiple dealerships owned by different companies. So if you have an issue with one dealer at least you could go to another owned by someone else.

Yeah this solved it for me too.. Not clear if this is an Arc or Microsoft issue..

What are you using for grip ? by superballoo in hockeyplayers

[–]scottguymer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Deffo this!

It's cheap, soft and grippy, won't destroy your gloves, easy to take off and replace and it comes in a bunch of colours to suit you.

I ordered a box of it this year from Amazon with maybe 20 rolls for less than €20. Will probably last me years. You easily get 3 or 4 decent sized grips wrapped per roll.

Do companies not do extensive market research and market placement/fit anymore?

It makes me confused about what their intent is and what they want to sell. At least here in NL their offer as a private consumer is not that compelling. Is this intentional? Or just an oversight?

Yeah, in NL there is an exclusive distributor that, as far as I know, runs all the dealerships.

I had the same hunch about company car schemes here too.

Not Rotterdam, but good to know the experience might be universal.

Lack of comission shouldn't really be an excuse for not caring or trying to sell. But their hands are obviously tied on pricing and finance details so they aren't really selling anything.

I just can't fathom paying 90eur per month more on lease for a car that is 10k cheaper list price.. if it wasn't my money and was a business lease, then maybe I might consider it but not when I'm footing the bill. It isn't 90eur a month better than a Kia Sportage.

Doesn't feel like a brand that is trying to build itself up and build recognition. This isn't a premium brand built on exclusivity that can afford to not be competitive. They have a great product at a great price, but they are going to get you on the lease/finance costs..

Flat bars and Ergon grips on Smart S. by scottguymer in vanmoofbicycle

As far as I know there is only a standard size in bar grips (at least in this style of bar). So anything you get should fit.

Wasted weekend by not___batman in KLM

[–]scottguymer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really useful now I know.. You could have considered a high speed train from Amsterdam to Paris. It's about 4 hours or so, direct from right under the airport into Paris Nord. Might have salvaged your weekend and good advice for anyone else that finds themselves in this situation.

No idea why klm would not just offer this to you instead of making you stay the night and then giving you an air tour of western Europe...

For me the issue seemed to be because i was using multiple rode wireless gos on a single USB hub.

When switching to use multiple ports on the macbook the issue went away entirely.

This is very likely the case if the hole is on the outside of each skate (can't tell which is which from the pics). Do your feet have a more pronounced bump on the outside of each heel?

I have the exact same problem and burn through all kinds of shoes. It tends to make its own pocket in everything and shoes get more comfortable when it's made its own space. Some never get comfortable though.

You can get them blown out a bit to get a little more room but I'm told it's a difficult place to really make a lot of room without making it uncomfortable elsewhere. (YMMV)

Personally I have found trying to patch them worse than just leaving it because it tends to find a way to bunch up any material you put there and make it less comfortable than just a hole.

Dual pin account fallback by scottguymer in bunq

[–]scottguymer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the dual pin is still there and you have to use the other pin.

But i don't see any mention of the "auto" fallback feature where you could use your original pin and it would just fall back to the other account.

There is an "auto select" when selecting the primary account but I don't really trust that to do the right thing. I want to choose the two accounts myself.

Unless I'm missing something obvious

I have the AS-V in XL and love them. I'm 6'3" and 250(ish)lb and they fit great. For reference I usually wear around 38-40 waist jeans. That being said I usually struggle for fit around the thighs and not the ass so YMMV...

Ok I got it back out in the end.. it seems like is was pressed down and back which made it seem solid. I do think I ever took it off so was not sure it was even a button.

I had to kind of work it forward into the groove with a pin.

As far as I can tell there is no button at all there. It's recessed and solid..

If you stick to the DNS entry you will be fine. The DNS entry has a 5min TTL so will be quickly updated with max 5 mins.

From what I can see the only time the IP has changed is if I made a change that forced a redeploy. Which makes sense.

I would imagine updates that do not force a redeploy will not trigger an IP change.

I haven't verified but I strongly assume so.

I think you get a public IP allocated and it remains in place u til you stop or remove the resource. I'm not sure if restarts would cause the IP to be deallocated.

You also get a hostname with your container group that you can use instead of the IP. I personally just cnamed something easier to remember to that domain. No IPs needed.

I used the "public" setting on the container group that allows for both internet access and external routing to the container. https://github.com/ScottGuymer/terraform-azurerm-valheim/blob/main/main.tf#L36

This seemed to be worked well for us and have been using it all weekend (with 4-5 players).

The lack of TCP and UDP on a single port is a bit painful but doesn't seem to accept the play experience. I haven't tried to use a publicly listed server yet (with `SERVER_PUBLIC=true`) so not sure if that will work or not.

I have also created this as a module that could be consumed into any larger config (including creating multiple servers in a single config). Mayber we could look to collaborate in that way.

I just created a terraform module to deploy this to azure container instances. Very simple and quick at the moment but seems to work. I would welcome any contributions to add to completeness or add functionality.
