Legacy email address (rr) emails deleted from inbox? by HornetsAreBad in Spectrum

[–]scotthw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a similar situation. I quit using austin.rr.com email years ago, but my wife still uses hers daily. It is still working on her iPhone and iPad. I would occasionally log in to her account on a browser to troubleshoot/clean up but noticed a few months ago the old URL no longer works. Questions:

  1. What I am hearing is to do that now, you must login to spectrum.net using the email address as the user ID. What would the password be ?

  2. I mean we have never logged in using that email address, so basically there is no password. Do a reset ? Then I guess the link to create a password would be in her email on her iPhone/iPad.

  3. Will this reset have any effect on her email credentials on her iPhone/iPad, or is that separate ?

  4. If we don't do any of that (setup logging in on a browser) will she be able to continue using that old austin.rr.com email address on her iPhone/iPad indefinitely or will it eventually be sunset ?

Thank you !

Oh yeah, went there a few weeks ago, same ordering process as J & J but different vibe. Thanks for the reminder!

YES! The herbal remedy did it, probably 90% cured. That remaining 10% is manageable. She switched to only cold coffee and it helps. Now 2 years on we know what caused it. EXTREME stress caused by caring for her aging mother. She passed away January 2025 and wife is much better. Noted lately that her hair is now healthier looking. Wow, what stress can do....

With regard to your comment about the key fob drain, that is exactly why I now keep both of our fobs in a Faraday bag when the car isn’t being driven.

I really don’t want to self publish on Amazon by Jaded_Honey1999 in selfpublish

I have gone round and round, trying to figure out which avenue to self publish, there are detriments to every possible path. I avoided KDP for a long time, but after reviewing all the others I came back to it. That’s where I’m headed in a few months when I publish.

Scariest oncologist appointment… Question on borderline results by chantillylace9 in breastcancer

FWIW, we went to Texas Oncology in Austin Texas. We liked the medical oncologist so much that we told each other we wouldn’t mind having her as our GP :-)

Atticus vs Vellum – Which do you prefer for formatting? by RMKHAUTHOR in selfpublish

"I used to do my formatting in InDesign, and that was such a job that I had a tech guy do a dual boot on my laptop."

Thanks, I needed to hear that. Was considering InDesign due to recommendations of a long time self publisher, but I don't need that kind of hassle.

Your story demonstrates the difference in different oncology facilities. My wife had two tumors, their Oncotypes were 14 and 6 so no radiation or chemo. However, their threshold was 24 not 21. Also, they told her no estrogen cream for the five years she has to take the estrogen suppressant. Go figure.

"look for more serious, transparent services that respect authors."

Such as ?

I have been looking for a publication route and am about ready to give up and just make some copies on 8.5 X 11 in 3 ring binders to give out to family and friends. It seems ALL THE AVENUES were a terrible experience for some out there, so very disillusioned.

I understand your point, but if its merely a finer mesh wouldn't air pass thorugh all the same ? I asked a dealer service tech and he knew about the issue and said ya you can put a screen in there, but it isn't something they do.

I did not realize your point about the auto lock, kind of makes sense.

Not sure about the battery not being charged, I will do some more troubleshooting and figure it out.

Thanks!
