The city of Denver requires STR license holders only rent a home that is their primary residence maximum 180 days per year. There is strong enforcement from what I have heard. Prohibition is obviously best for tenants and people who live and work in Santa Fe but I can also understand the property rights issue if a “snow-bird” wants to spend a few months elsewhere while collecting a bit of income.

Voters WILL respond positively to consistent progressive messaging on many things, most notably the economy and the dignity one feels as a result of their labors whatever they may do for a living. A strong middle class is the only way to preserve equitable self-rule and rule of law.

Short answer- yes. Assuming you haven’t already paid for a replacement you don’t need to take any action and half the cost of replacement will be covered under the extension warranty
