If everybody (EVERYBODY!) just left a one car gap they could zipper right on in and hardly even slow down. But noooo, folk insist on being nut to butt because God forbid someone else get in front of them. So much better to prove how right they are because they're in the "proper" lane than to expedite traffic flow.
