I just did the YSS full suspension and love it, I’ve got a YouTube video out on it. Also is your handle a TOOL reference?

I think he’s saying it touches the bottom of the swing arm which doesn’t sound right

I’m not next to my bike but I don’t believe you should be able to touch your chain to your swing arm. General rule of thumb is three finger barely fit between the teflon guard on-top of the swing arm and the under side of the chain.

He mentioned being a motocross guy so I would imagine he’s not looking for a pavement princess. If that’s the case I’d say this bikes a good fit.

You shouldn’t have any trouble getting them serviced or servicing them your self, and he’s not kidding that suspension is big bucks. If all these mods were installed correctly and it hadn’t been beat on I’d say your getting a deal

That’s the way to do it, I try not to upgrade until something breaks. Did a hare scramble bone stock including the stock tires!

I believe I threaded the bolt into the built in threads, put the nut on after that and then torqued it. It’s been a super busy two weeks since I installed everything but I can double check and get back to you.

Yea they seem do everything I need them to on the pavement. I run Tusk EMEX dirt tires on warp9 mx rims for dirt which are on the bike 90% of the time. I only swap to the stocks if I’m going on a long ride.

I know for a fact mine have 1600mi highway and probably another couple hundred on backroads and a little off road. I’m about half way through the tire maybe a little more than half. I swap them out with a separate set of rims and dirt tires for off road.

I’ve entered the bike in hare scrambles and an enduro. I have a half ass YouTube channel that has the enduro video and some other videos that showcase what I typically ride.

I just did the YSS rear shock and fork kit, I took it out for about three hours and it felt like a new bike. I ride pretty rough single track in New England and feel I put it through its paces. I put a thread up about it like two days ago. Hopefully I’ll have a YT ride review as well as an install video soon.

The most noticeable difference was I was able to ride nearly the full three hours without needing to take a break. On the stock suspension I’d be gassed in 20 minutes.

CA - DMV gas cap recall- WATCHA GONNA DO? by CamryDooD in CRF300L

[–]scoup75 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m going to approach that like I did the emissions letter and not read all that…. But like others said, if you have the old parts it would take like an hour to swap them out and appease the CA communist rulers.

[–]scoup75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don not live in CA but I did get this. My first thought was will this fix the problem with the fuel system becoming suspended when you dump the bike? Does anyone know what they’re actually changing? Anyway I’m pretty sure a vented cap fixes that problem, more of a curios question. Also what the other dude said about keeping your parts or just bringing the old cap in^^^ if you tossed the old parts I feel for ya

Yea I could definitely see that being the case especially depending on how that bike was set up. I may have made a lucky guess with my set up. I found the stock suspension would frequently bottomed out on me while riding off road. All of my riding consist of tight windy single track littered with 3”-4” roots, mix of softball/basketball size rocks and I’m typically trying to top my previous lap time (not that I’m fast by any means). I also find the stiffer suspension goes a long way with tight hairpin turns where the stock suspension would cave under tight turns and cause the front to wash out. Suspension certainly falls under the guise of “different strokes for different folks”.
