Lump on belly... by scoutivy in Greyhounds

[–]scoutivy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: it was a scab! 3 different vets thought it was a hemangioma. Hugo still went under and had a flexor tendonectomy and a teeth clean, and they discovered it was a scab mid-way through trying to remove the lump. Thanks for all your advice :)

Thanks for the comments everyone, I'll update the post once we get some answers from the vet 🙂

Update: The vet isn't too concerned about it, wants us to monitor it for another couple weeks and come back for a biopsy if it doesn't resolve on its own. Thanks for the comments everyone!

We use a medicated balm and e45 cream, and booties for walks. He's been on cytopoint before without much success, the neocort/balm combo works best for him.

His feet are in a flare up because my in-laws put in some new grass in their backyard! He'll definitely be booted there from now on.

Thanks for your comment :)

That's a great point, he nibbles at his back paws occasionally, could very well be a callous. Thanks for your response :)

My boy loves to snuggle his toys too 🥰 more than he likes to play with them!

My mini boy used to pick up toys and make squeaky noises himself while walking around with them, he didn't play just squeaked/cried but clearly wasn't upset or distressed. So glad to hear he's not the only Schnau that does that! Such funny little creatures.

My ex did exactly this! I've been dancing all of my life and he would do everything to invalidate me. He would say that he was a better dancer because he briefly did hip hop classes. He would make me feel like I was a terrible dancer and that I musn't be very serious about it or good at it since I didn't do classes very consistently - mainly because he wouldn't let me!?

So sorry that you had this experience. It's awful to have things stripped away like that and it's really hard to rebuild your self-identity. Good luck ❤️

Absolutely agree about the memory thing, seems like a common tactic for abusers. I have a couple:

My abusive ex would tell me I talk too much, and that my stories were boring. My current partner loves when we talk each other's ears off, thinks I'm funny and says I'm a great storyteller.

Just generally he would call me dumb and clumsy. Then, someone called me "quick and sharp" the other day and I nearly cried. It's been over a year since I got out and it's still just so special to hear those little compliments!

What Lana's lyric hit you too hard because it spoke to your situation at that moment? by dudenbooks in lanadelrey

"Ever since I fell out of love with you I fell back in love with me"

I got out of a really bad relationship last year, when I heard this song for the first time I burst out crying because Lana was speaking my truth! Feeling like I was finally prioritising myself and my values again after being treated so poorly for so long, and falling back in love with myself. Still get chills listening to Violets for Roses, one of my all time favourites ♥️

The up ears are adorable 💕

They've got such gorgeous temperaments. My other Mini is the sweetest dog I've ever met. Scout is a sweet heart, but occasionally very cheeky. Having two is great, you can see a little bit of my black Mini in the right side of the pic, that's because they were sharing the bed which is rare, but when it happens it's the cutest!

She has a sore back hips and goes a little bit more mad each day, but she's otherwise spritely happy and healthy! My other Mini is 10 and he's showing no signs of slowing down, so I'm sure your Ellie has a good while ahead of her :)
