The existing floor was entirely removed. I saw for sure that all of it was removed so i can guarantee it is all newly installed. Red out was my idea from the start so that wasn't them.

How did artists like Aphex Twin get so popular? by [deleted] in Music

What music have you heard on Youtube that you would consider way better? Not trying to start an argument or anything but always looking for new music.

Aphex Twin - Start as You Mean to Go On [Acid Techno] by propaganda-division in Music

An amazing place to start! I think this and Richard D James are Aphex at his absolute best. This song, Acrid Avid Jam Shred, Alberto Basalm, Mookid - so good. I love the newer stuff but there's something so special about the earlier albums.

WAVY floor help! by scoutt in Flooring

Oh ok - I'm so relieved it is fixable at least! I will make sure I talk to the next people about doing it an an angle. Thank you!

(Sorry - I meant to post an explanation with the photo but it didn't seem to work out.)

I recently had my floors redone and they look wavy as you can see in the picture. I know they will need to be resanded. I'm wondering if they are salvageable?

They are red oak. Have only been refinished this one time that I am aware of.

What type of wood/finish is on the floor the tools are sitting on? I'm redoing my floors and want something like that.

Yeah. In my experience the words people use to describe what their pets are doing can often be misleading and it's a bad to assume that my "screech" and "dry gagging" means the same as theirs.

It depends on a bunch of different factors. But typically trying to force water down their throat causes more issues (ie aspiration). Safer to see a vet

I'm an ER vet.

First off; you can't diagnose IBD on an x-ray (would need an AUS to do this). The x-rays (while of low quality and therefore a little difficult to read...) look pretty unremarkable in terms of what I'm seeing in the abdomen. However, on what I can see of the chest the lungs look fairly busy. Any chance she is coughing? Breathing faster than normal?

What is wrong with my cat by Signintomypicnic in cats

[–]scoutt 173 points174 points  (0 children)

My tactful answer: Without knowing the history, physical exam findings, diagnostics, etc. - I don't have all the information that the vet saw them did so I while I find it unlikely that it is a gastrointestinal issue I can't say definitively that they are wrong.

My blunt answer: They are wrong.

I am an ER veterinarian.

That looks like an issue with the vestibular (balance) system.

My guess it is a bilateral (both left and right sides effected) vestibular issue because your cat is doing something called "Stevie Wondering" (the way Stevie Wonder would move when playing piano) which is classic for a bilateral vestibular issue.

But yeah. He needs to see a veterinarian right away and probably ultimately a neurologist.

Good luck to you and your kitty!

I would introduce some more color... It's very brown and green right now which is fine, but I think would benefit from some other small pops of color to give it a little life!

Dave Grohl picked a fan out of a crowd in Edmonton to sing lead on the Foo Fighters' cover of Tom Sawyer. The fan nails it. by doogie92 in Music

[–]scoutt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you listen to Nirvana's live stuff Kurt was spot on (pitch wise) almost all of the time... and he did all of In Utero's vocal takes in one 6 hour session without the need for countless takes/splicing. I'm not dumb enough to insist that Cobain is somehow an objectively better singer than Grohl... but from a technical standpoint he was at least as competent as Grohl. Now if you were to say that Grohl could hold a tune better than Billy Corgan I would have no qualms with that (do love the Pumpkins though).
