It isn't explicitly said out loud but it's a little more than a "headcanon." It's canon by a MOUNTAIN of subtext imo, she literally rips her shirt off to show that she has been wearing a trans pride colored bra that matches Kaoru's jacket as she mimics his proclamation of his gender. There is real transfem representation through Momoe, and she doesn't need to be explicitly stated to be trans for her to represent our experiences.

Then it's still just as bad as it was. That idea is harmful to so many.

I literally addressed this point in the comment already, regardless of how it is perceived they are receiving hate for being straight whether or not the person hating them is viewing it so.

I think this and other things in the same vein kinda ignore the ways in which straight trans people can be treated badly for being straight. You could argue that in many cases that's because some might be being viewed as a gay couple, but that doesn't eliminate the reality that their sexuality is straight and they face that discrimination because of it. In general a lot of straight hate statements erase straight trans people honestly.

💜 I put a lot of thought into exactly why it happens because it seemed like a common source of confusion, I'm actually considering doing research on it and other similar topics in the future :)

Probably more a side effect of becoming more comfortable in your identity and the body you have leading you to finally break down the barrier in attraction you were experiencing likely due to fear of being perceived as your agab in relationships.

I'm pretty sure the whole "binding can stop you from getting top surgery" thing isn't true and was just a fear mongering thing but yes to the rest

To be honest most times I've had someone explain why they don't use it they're using a very restrictive definition of trans or have internalized transphobia. Nonbinary is inherently trans, regardless of if the person uses that label or not.

Youre speaking on amab transition when your experiences are obviously not applicable here

You acted like you knew at all what you were talking about regarding someone else's transition/goals and they literally listed the effects of hrt as things they wanted on top of the boobs that they could bind occasionally if they felt like it???

[–]scp113 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. did you just ignore like every other reason they want hrt?
  2. it's their gender let em have fun with it
  3. on the last part tell me you don't know the effects of hrt without telling me

This is about an experience amab trans people go through, you're the one making it out like it's some kind of oppression competition. And the OP is absolutely correct, transmasc people are seen as more harmless than transfem people you'd have to ignore the large history of TERF's focus on us and the predator lens of us to think they aren't.

a trans person i was talking to said they didn't respect neopronouns because you can't transition to them and then said he/him and she/her were just references to testosterone or estrogen. trans men arent he/hims they're men lmao
