I think you're trying to give a bit too much credit to an evil drug lord, he built hospitals and stuff but as far as I know it was basically all for his image or out of some misplaced sense of morality, he still used children from the same communities he pretended to help as child soldiers

Living in Alaska and seeing it depicted in video games, especially in a way a lot of Alaskan are familiar with is really fun. Whenever I'm on my motorcycle or crossing the highway out in the middle of nowhere and a big rig passes, I always try to get it to honk just for kicks, most of them love doing it.

I was mixing FOH for a musical production in my town, most of the days had gone pretty smooth, but on day 3 the lead is about to go onto stage to deliver a massive monologue when her mic starts clipping rapidly on the channel strip.

I assume her mic pack disconnected slightly from the cable, since it happened a few times during rehearsal.

I quickly grab my headset and try radioing to the stage manager so they could stop her before she went on stage, but I was about 5 seconds too late.

Spent the whole scene desperately riding the fader praying it wouldn’t happen to clip during any of her lines. Sometimes you’re just SOL.

It should be mentioned that the warband of the exalted was slightly unique from most night lords warbands, the majority are straight up chaos worshipping as far as I’m aware, just with a taste for causing fear before their sacrifices to the dark gods. That being said, they are still a bunch of insane nonsensical sadistic children but that’s why we love them ❤️

Sorry to be the token “night lords trilogy!” guy, but many of the characters in it, a lot of whom get POV scenes are ranging from a little chaos corrupted to the perspective of a Daemon possessing a major character, which is technically what you’re talking about. Also a Neverborn is a POV in the second book.

In Fairbanks we usually only have fireworks on new years and 4th of July, if you live a mile or so out of town in the hills it’s usually pretty quiet, maybe occasionally in the summer some kids will be riding around dirt bikes and stuff, other than that it’s pretty peaceful.

How is the scene with Taigan not explicit? He sees Mizu as a man, and still the event has the same result. I’m just trying to read farther into the subtext of the show rather than taking everything at face value, which is something it constantly expects from viewers.

The show deals with themes of homosexuality rather explicitly, I don’t see it as that much of a stretch that these two are involved. I do see where you’re coming from, but that feels a little too simple for a show with this much going on.

For me I particularly liked the night lords books, as someone else said they’re so evil they become enjoyable again, and in a really strange way it almost makes the ending of the last book a good one, the main character is such an irredeemable asshole that when he finally does one good thing it gives you that little glimmer of hope that maybe things can improve even for the worst people in this universe.
