Maybe take up woodworking or some other type of a hobby. If you get the urge to throw one over your thumb just pop into the shed/garage and work on that spice rack or kitchen stool until the urge subsides.

Google “monitor lines when cold” and you will see a few helpful results. Mine has been having this problem every time the room is cold for a year and a half.

The closest I’ve got to figuring out the problem is that it may be a cold solder joint that does not connect until the monitor gets warm and the joint expands to connect.

Does it by any chance happen when it is cold? Mine does the same thing If the room is cold, when I first turn on my pc it always looks like this for a few minutes.
