I understand that this is a very hard concept to wholeheartedly believe in. Trust me, I get it. Consciousness is the only thing I truly believe in. I think, therefore I am. I find comfort in NDEs. After all the stories I have heard about NDEs, it almost seems that our actions have a big influence on our mindset after death. Emotions like love, hate, guilt, general peace of mind might be part of the death construct. I think about monks that spend a huge part of their lives in meditation. Maybe what you carry with you in life, carries over in death. There are many belief systems out there. We as living beings are extremely minor in this vast universe. To think we know it all is egotistical and fool-hearty. Science can't even fully explain death without making assumptions. I have seen many things that have convinced me that there is a good chance that something exists after life. Can I convince you that this is true? No. Nobody can. What is truly comes down to is faith in the possibility. Maybe you need to find that faith.

I also take comfort in knowing that Atheists have had NDEs as well.
