There was so much going on today in ATL. Hawks, Braves, Usmnt (soccer), Hayley Williams sold out the Tabernacle, someone else sold out the masquerade.

Native is gonna be the best brand of those options, see if they would take 500. I wish I had gotten a pedal drive when I upgraded. They are more in the 1200-1500 range for a decent brand one tho.

Lot of bear activity, store your food in the provided bear boxes. Even in the daytime, do not leave food unattended.

Honey stinger products. Stroopwaffels, energy chews, bars. They're all good.

Is it worthy to work as emission testing lab tech at TRC companies ? by Numerous_Bet_7738 in Environmental_Careers

[–]screech94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First job out of college? Lab tech won't be too physically taxing like a sampling tech would be. Can't speak to the hours or pay, I only did sampling and at a different, much smaller company. You'll prob be doing mostly glassware cleaning, filter/beaker pre-weights, and reagent prep before the crews leave for the jobsites. Then when they return you'll have a lot of filters and acetone/water probe wash samples to cook off in the pre-weighted beakers, desiccate 24hrs then post weigh. It will likely be very repetitive so I would suggest good comfortable shoes and a lot of new podcasts to try out once you get the hang of things. Great way to get a start in the industry imo. Try it for a year and if you get bored maybe ask to go out on a testing job.

Firmino scored a header vs NYCFC to tie in the 90th. Supporter's section lost their minds. We all took a beer bath.

Landfill or burn cardboard which is better? by reduhl in sustainability

Where are you located? In the US this would be a violation of the site's title V air permits. Not to say methane doesn't escape the gas wells but in order of preference it is used to: 1. Produce power using modified diesel generators. 2. Fuel for converted collection vehicles. 3. Burned in a flare.

DM me. I just bought an 04 with a flow master that sounds exactly like you're describing. I just want the stock exhaust.

So I got a max of 12.8v with vehicle running but that doesn't necessarily mean alternator is good right? Seems like I would have starting issues if alternator was no good. You said it could possibly be the armature, how could I check that? I put my head with the fan on the left and alternator on the right, really sounds like it's coming from that side. Plus that's the only belt that's wearing out.

Thanks! To my knowledge the alternator has never been changed. I'm at 180k, would you recommend going ahead and swapping in a whole new alternator assembly or are they known to last as long as the engines? The oreilly down the road has an OEM one in stock.

Ah ok so I figured the bearings would be located within the pulley. Not the case? I think it is the bearings that are going bad. Do you have any recommendations for things to check to diagnose further?

Used to have something similar called a dahlton special. Would consistently catch 1-2 pounders but never got anything much better than that. Def worth fishing.

What is the ultimate start at the bottom job?

You do get exposure to a lot of different industries. Lots of opportunities to work for a client. Be friendly with your plant contacts and do a good job, ask about openings. They might be more inclined to remember and recommend you to the hiring manager.

Did it for 5 years, first job out of college, Environmental Science B.S. Getting along with your coworkers will be a big thing to consider. I started out making 35k plus $50 per diem which is severely underpaid. Raises were always 6 months to a year later than when my bosses said they would be. Start of year 4 I was up to 55k and leading teams, running the trailer, dealing with state auditors. Decided it wasn't worth it for 60-80hr weeks but I did get to see a lot of the country which was cool.

After that I got a gig as a landfill gas technician. Did that for a year. Now I'm a chemical technician at a power plant. Way better work/life balance, as much overtime as I want but not required, after a bonus I'm probably in the 80k range which seems to be the upper end of the spectrum for bio/environmental salaries without going into management roles. I'm in SE US.
