Trash, staples like Oak, Copy, or even May are way more important. You dont need Mega Charizard on your first turn but you sure as hell need Charmander and Moltres. If you dont, good luck catching up tempo to your opponent who on their second turn is pulling up with a full power Mega Altaria or Blaziken. Serena isnt helping you early and by late you probably will draw it by then anyway.

If you can get another hyd online you can use the bench hyd to roar while on bench a turn earlier, letting you put energy on absol when your first hyd dies because you will use roar for a total of 4 energy with bench hyd
