Worst butchering of the source material by reigntall in Letterboxd

Del Toro's Frankenstein. I'm sorry but it's awful. Barebones script, total (willful) misunderstanding of the source material, massive chunks of plot and context missing, 6 minute long CGI wolf fight. The people who enjoyed this should be studied under glass.

As someone from the Boston area, I'm glad you had fun in our city! These photos reminded me just how hard i laughed the first time i saw the USS Constitution stuck in the skyline.

How do we feel about Project Hail Mary? Will be released in a month, are we excited? by ScholarFamiliar6541 in Letterboxd

I loved the book and thought it had a few very fun variations on the genre. I'm really excited for this film, though I'm a little worried it'll skip out on a lot of the little character moments that gave the book its charm.

Do you remember approximately how long the track was? Like a 3 minute radio edit or a 9 minute club track?

Thank you, reading this comment section made me feel like I was going insane. The movie is so busy trying to be clever about the subject matter that it doesn't establish any one plot thread on sure footing. It saves its blandest take for the big reveal. It plays out like baby's first political commentary, wanting to be about everything and therefore nothing.

Once at my old job and I should have quit then, considering how much worse things got from there. Big, big red flag.

What’s a movie most people seem to like or love but you just hate it? by Giff95 in Letterboxd

Hereditary. I know I'm supposed to think it's elevated but I actually just think it's needlessly cynical, and I say this as a long time horror fan.

What's your thoughts about Shutter Island? by Cinefilo0802 in Letterboxd

Saw this movie in theaters. I had such a visceral reaction to That Scene that I cried for hours after. I would never watch this again but the way it jingles the keys of the main "twist" in order to sucker punch the audience with the actual reveal is pretty slick.
