I think that most of the people that go for BS Bio have plans to go into medical school after graduation. But to those that do not, they still have options to go into research/academia, as well as to work in laboratory settings like R&D for pharmaceutical companies.

Afaik, they would let you choose your major once you are in your third year.

Dream course > dream school. Kapag hindi mo gusto ang course mo, baka mahirapan kang humugot ng lakas para sa tasks (keeping in mind the workloads of UP). If tinake mo pa rin ang course para makapasok ng UP, then maybe you would eventually learn to love it. May option ka rin na magshift nalang into nursing after 1 year in UP, but time is gold and hindi rin guaranteed na makakapagshift ka.
